***New Tag Fairy Policy***

The Tag Fairy is very upset.

The Tag fairy contacted me tonite. They are very upset. They exist to bring joy and happiness and surprises to people.
They can't do that any more. The tag fairy has decided to go back to what made people happy.
They are going to surprise people, the way it was in the begining and the way it was meant to be. What that means is that if you ask for a tag you can expect not to get it. If you start clapping threads, begging threads, email, pm, instant message or telegram anyone...you can expect not to be tagged.
They ONLY way to be tagged is for the tag fairy to find you and surprise you.
Everyone should also realize that the tag fairy doesn't tag based on how popular you are. Usually it's a split second decision because something caught their eye.
The Tag fairy also asked me to say that they really hope everyone goes along with this. They really don't want to leave the Dis... but they may have to.... unless they can go back to bringing joy to people....

I agree..... Getting a tag from the tag fairy should be a surprise. It's like getting an Un-Birthday present.... you never know what it is or when it's coming!

I always felt the same. I wanted a tag but I wanted it to be a surprise. I wanted it to come from the tag fairy's heart. So I never asked for one. Then one day "pop" There is was! I was touched by the tag fairy.

It was special that way. She even mentioned my little visitor to my tent on an old camping trip back when I was a (very squeemish) teen.

Well I'm sorry TF if my begging got me my tag, but I really, really appreciate it! I should've learned from my children that the more you beg, the less likely you are to get what you want! Feel free to take my tag away if you deem it necessary!

Sounds fine to me too. After all- tag fairies are people too ! And their fun is in surprising people. If everyone is clapping and begging and telegraming them (too funny!) then it becomes work for them instead of a labor of love. I know when people ask me to work too much I threaten to runaway! I never do, but usually just saying it makes me and them do better! Runaway tag fairies could be very hard to find! Where would we even start??? The search function is up and running now- but who knows how it will act when 20,000 people are using it all at once to find the tag fairies? I for one am all for the TGR (Tag Fairie Reform) - we love you tag fairies!!

As someone who was tagged by surprise, it is much more fun to have it done that way than to ask for it. But that alway seemed FAIRY obvious to me!

But even my tag states that begging and clapping does make a difference, and I was surprised with this tag after I stated in a thread that begging and clapping doesnt work.

This tag was quite a surprise and did make me very happy. It helped to keep that magic that we all love so much alive between Disney trips

For the love of all that's been created by Walt... I don't get it. I know different strokes for different folks, but c'mon people....you guys get all worked up and start clapping, hooting, & hollering for someone to put a little phrase in some special color under your nome. Let's keep things in perspective. I'm really trying to be nice here, but it is very, very difficult.
