LOVED the new Star Wars Visa card design video. It mentions a Star Wars character meet and greet for Visa card members. They currently have that now at WDW and DL with standard Disney character. When the Star Wars meet and greet information is announced. PLEASE post!

I don't think it matters what design you have.

I sort of want to switch to the Yoda design, but I currently have a Buzz and Woody design that was only offered for a limited time...If I change it, I can never get THAT design back...sigh, what to do... #magicalworldproblems

Design doesn't matter. M&G open to all Disney Visa card holders. I just got my new Cindy's Castle card with the new chip in it, but that Darth Vader design is really tempting.........

Im certain that the benefits will only increase, given the large leverage of SW in the HWS and Disney in general. I am amazed at the number of areas currently down for renovation, in addition to planned expansions.

Mine too, I wish you could get different designs for each card holder on your account! I don't want to give up my Nemo design but my husband would be so thrilled with Darth Vader.

You can! There's a drop down box on the card design page of the website. Each cardholder can pick their own design. DH & I have different designs. I love my castle card, but I really might have to get Darth Vader. Coz how cool is he?!!

The only thing I want to add is that currently you can choose from all of the designs ( previously and new ) - the designs will be phased out going into 2016, leaving 10 designs and no exclusive subset for premiere. The ten remaining are mickey and pals, sorcerers mickey, the green tink card, the red "pixie dust" card, the blue "spotlight" card, new Frozen, the new 60th Anniv Disneyland Castle, new SW Yoda, Vader, C3PO/R2D2. all other designs are being retired, and those that are remaining are being tweaked - sorcerers mickey will now face to the right, mouse ears on pixie dust card leans to the right, background of tink card and spotlight cards are slightly different, and background of mickey and pals is more of a sunburst than an undulating wave.

Not that I'm going to change my card because I like the discontinued one I have now, but apparently the timeline is much quicker than "2016". I just went into my account to see what was available and they've already pulled all of the old designs. The only 10 designs available are the ones you named. The previous ones are all gone.

Went ahead and ordered the Vader card....all too easy. Should be here in the next couple of days!

I feel your pain on this! We ordered the new SW card anyway, guess I will just put my inactive plates in my jewelry box or something.
