What about running both versions simultaneously? They have enough theaters to do that.

If we had 4 theaters then cool but with 2, if CA is more liked then world by a good deal then it could cause problems

Yeah, if they did that, people would be trying to pick their show. I think they should develop a Sorain' that works like Star Tours with some randomized scenes - that would be pretty cool!

And if one theater had a problem, they couldn't switch people to the other one because both the film and the smells would have to be changed out.

If I were in charge I'd put it in the rotation every summer for 4th of July

I think after world it will be a wait and see

I assume it will just be the new version for a while and if people like it more then world it just takes over and if people aren't into it then it comes back for special events

I would assume they plan to use it indefinitely as the new version, and maybe only bringing back the old ones for special occasions.
If they use the new one only in the summer, regularly every year like haunted mansion overlay, it would need to be from Memorial Day through Labor Day, every year!
