New snacks on Dining Plan

Yes, dole whips are on the DDP. We just got back from our trip on Monday night. Monday morning (until 2pm) we did MK for our last day-- DD just had to get a Dole Whip before we left... I had 1 counter service left, and I asked the girl if they were on the DDP.. she said yes, as of today (Mon.) anything under $4.00 can be a snack. I told her I only had a counter service left and could I use it, but she said no, only snack credit, so anyway I paid for it ($2.49 I think) and used my counter service as we were exiting the park at Casey's (just couldnt let it go to waste!) on corn dog nuggets, fries, coke, and cracker jacks

So which one of us Disers is arriving 1st who can give us the scoop? I'm not going until 5/27-6/3.

We woll be there at the same time. We are now in countdown mode. I am so glad that they have added more snakcs. I might not need to pack breakfast items :cool1:

Wow! If it's really ANYTHING under $4, you can get cookie ice cream sandwiches, rootbeer floats, double dip ice cream cones (does anyone see a pattern here?) Figaro fries....suddenly snacks seem better than dinner!

I'm wondering if they changed it because snack credits were going unused thinking a lot of people didn't care for the choices? Plus I suppose the lines were long at the snacks location and not at the other places? I am glad they are offering more choices!!!

:sad2:
So sorry I must unsubscribe from this thread. Every time I read more I get an attack of the munchies. Trying to lose weigh before we go. :yay: And at this rate I will have gained 15 lbs, before I even get there and gain 15 more on these snacks. Oh I cannot weight I mean wait.

I know I had one once in the MK...scrumptious! Are they in every park? I can't find them on the menus in Allears. Is it only ice cream & bakery type stuff under 4. that you can get as a snack, or any menu item that price??

Dole Whips are only at Aloha Isle in Adventureland.

Reports are that any dessert or side under $4 are included - but that hasn't been confirmed everywhere.

It's definitely not any menu item under $4, because that could include kid meals - I can see where this could lead.

I think I may have to start fasting in preparation....

NO!!! DON'T DO IT!! Your stomach will shrink and then you won't have room for all these newly included goodies!

i too sent an e-mail today and will post the response. i am curious to know if we will all get the same response!

We were in the MGM bakery, in the bookstore connected to Sci Fi, and as of hat day, May 1st, all sorts of snacks were on the plan. Like the great mickey gingerbread cookies!

It's been 2 days since I emailed Disney about this change to get an "official" word. No answer so far...... They probably don't want to put it in writing! ;)

Yum! I can NOT wait until September!

Does it include snacks at Epcot such as the Kaki Gori? :confused3

Is it sad to be this excited about the new additions to the snack plan? :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Wow.....great news. Last fall we had 17 snack credits left. Yes, I said 17 (10 nights x 4 people started us off with 40). We took home 17 rice krispy mickey treats and my children gave them to their friends.

Does anyone know if the rootbeer floats at AK are included? I do not remember how much they cost and they are our favorite snack.

We used ours last year during the F&W Fest...i wondered then why I could use a snack credit on a wonderful bit of food for $4 at Epcot, but nowhere else. It didn't make sense. So..even though we'll use LOTS of those credits for the F&W Fest this year, its nice to know that when we're in the other parks we have more of a choice. They'll have to roll us all out of the parks! :teeth:

:cool1: :cool1: This thread has made my day!! We used the DP last year and loved it-I can't believe it is actually getting better. :Pinkbounc :rotfl:  :woohoo:

Any one know if the homemade(the one at main street bakery)chocolate chip cookie icecream sandwich is now a snack.

I asked today at the bakery and was told yes they are. I didn't buy one though. Hope that helps. :sunny:

For those that are waiting for an email response, I really don't think you'll get any kind of list of the new choices. There are simply so many. :thumbsup2

One place we always make sure to stop at is the Main Street Ice Cream Parlor for their unbelieveable Waffle Sundaes. When I saw this link, I got so excited, until I went to Debs site to price the sundae. This is what it says:
The "Plaza" Ice Cream Sundae - Hot Fudge, whipped cream and a cherry served in waffle bowl $4.19

It is more than 4.00, so I guess it won't be a snack on the plan. :sad2:

Oh well
