New snacks on Dining Plan

I really wish these changes happened a month ago. Not that I'm complaining about the plan when I was there, but this is soooooo much nicer. It really eliminates the "need" for sharing enough meals to cover breakfast. Now we can use snack credits for breakfasts. :thumbsup2

This is great news! :cool1:

My friend and her DH just got back from their anniversary trip to WDW a couple of weeks ago. She was so excited because you could get a Dole Whip as a snack on the dining plan. :cool1: Hope this helps.

I emailed them this am asking about the changes, and, so far, all I've gotten back is a generic email saying that someone would write me back, if necessary. I wonder how long it takes them to answer their emails. :confused3 I'll post it as soon as they respond.

BTW, is a Dole Whip one of those things that are soft serve ice cream and frozen orange slush?

I'd be willing to trade 2 snack credits for the Fiesta Margarita at the Mexico Pavillion. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

THAT MAKES TWO OF US!! :teeth: Seriously, the addition of more snack options is great. The same items for 10 days got a tad boring last year. Yahoo!!

The change in snack options is great news! My kids rather have shakes that ice cream. A muffin and tea in the morning is all I need for breakfast. I was planning to POP for breakfst and saving CS for lunch now I wont have too. My boys are not big breakfst eaters. If I bring a box of cereal down they'll be happy.

The Dole Whip has pineapple juice, they have one that is with orange juice at another stand.

I love a Mickey Bar as much as the next person, but having more options is GREAT!!

Now, to make DH get something different from me each time, so I can try more (that is not piggish, I'll be 'sharing'). Doing the same for our TS meals, Disney has way too much good food for us to get the same things.

Oh, and I second the fiesta margarita idea. :thumbsup2

Any one know if the homemade(the one at main street bakery)chocolate chip cookie icecream sandwich is now a snack.

I have no idea if the brochure you have is earlier or later than the pdf brochure that's on the web. The Disney website has the same wording as the pdf brochure.

The wording you have is different. Sounds like Disney decided to offically add some of the items that were being unofficially covered over the past year.

I think this brochure is later than the one on the WDW website.

And I think it is a far more wide spread change than just making a few items official. Whole new categories like pastries have been added.

Such great news! Now I can use some snacks for muffins, etc for a light breakfast. Disney never ceases to amaze me. First, the free dining plan, then they make it better! What next? an upgraded room, maybe....just kidding... :)

So sorry we missed this improvement for this spring break but I now have something to look forward to for next year :cool1: ! Who knows what other improvements in the DDP Disney has up its sleeve pixiedust: (maybe raise the age for the childs DDP - we can only hope ;) ).
