Just make sure it fits the correct dimensions and you only have 3 or less

I am so confused about the signature quidelines...
I keep reading different things and then seeing things everywhere that don't folow the quidelines. I just didn't put one in rather than chance not doing it right.

but the red head at the table is cute - I noticed that with her computer too...
anyone know where I can find a Brunette???

I've never gotten the whole signature guideline thing---that's why I tend just to have barely anything because I'm afraid of breaking the rules....some people have TONS that seem way too much to me and some people only have one or two things but then they are told they have too much? There often doesn't seem to be one standard rule across the boards. I'm sure there's a sticky I can find somewhere to fill me in on the exact rules....

That siggy is so cute! I need to find one of an older-looking, not quite as svelte (sp?) brunette. Of course, I could just pretend I look like that, lol!

I've always been afraid to post a siggie - didn't want to get in trouble for it being too big or crazy. And I'm not tech savy enough to figure out the resizing thing.

Apparently you have to watch the pixel size and the file memory size. I had one deleted because even though it was small enough it took up too much memory or something.

I could make that girl have whatever color hair you want with my Paint Shop Pro progrm just.me. It's pretty easy.

If you want things with glitter/sparkles MICMIN is great at it. She has done a few for me.

now - so you are under the allowed amount then? How do I know how much 'space' an image is taking?

Once you post a Sig just right click on the Pic or image (this includes tickers) select properties and it will show file size as well as pixal size .


Mine are 512x199 pix at 30357 bytes ,420x82 pix at 3527 and 414x74 pix at 6539

none over the 550x 200 max pix

3 images are allowed

total bytes 40,423 so it under the 50,000 max (I think thats it )

Then smilies only count a line items as you are allowed 12 lines (including spaces.

I have 1 line then space then 4 lines plus 3 pics so thats total of 9.

I should be good.

Well if your asking and I"M NO MOD OR EXPERT but your not .
Images count as lines so your at 14 lines

And your Pic is 291 (OK ) x 218 <(200 limit here)

Bytes are 45556 , 3356 , 4776 so thats a total of 53688 so I think thats close like I said not sure of total. I checked total is 51,200 .

But I'm not telling looks like a great family.

Yes you have only 11 lines of TEXT but you also have 3 images that also count toward line total so thats how I got the 14 for you .

Thank you! I learn something new every day ! I had no clue until just now how you figure any of the size limits. I just know a moderator made mine & it is on his server, so I figured it was ok ! Now I have to remember these numbers!

Hmmmm ... maybe because I have a large computer screen ... I only see 11 lines!! Here's what I see:

Line 1 : My four ...
Line 2 : Picture (image 1)
Line 3 : Countdown 1 (image 2)
Line 4 : ~~~~~
Line 5 : Countdown 2 (image 3)
Line 6 : 1994 and 5/2000 trips
Line 7 : 12/2000 and 12/2001 trips
Line 8 : 2002 and 2003 trips
Line 9 : 2004 and 5/2005 trips
Line 10: 8/2005 and 2/2006 trips
Line 11: 4/2006 trip and 2006 cruise
