***** New September 2013 Thread *****

How romantic!! Have you decided how you are going to pop the question?

As for our trip, I have changed to the a GV room at the BC. I showed the teenager DSs pics of all the rooms and resort pools of the resorts I was thinking of. As soon as they saw SAB, they were sold.

There is only one way to propose, infront of the Castle. I have a couple of scenarios in my head the main one being;

Having the official pics taken, then going to walk away.

"wait one more" Then drop.

Nervous is not the word.

Its official!

Headed to the world 9/15 through 9/21, 2013.

Staying at POFQ, garden view room.

My parents (very generously) are taking my husband and I, and everyone is really excited! :yay:

Awesome! Maybe we'll see you. Requested building 5 because I've heard its fairly centrally located. I am really excited (and I think my husband is too, but he's not admitting it...lol).

This weekend we're going to PA to visit my parents, so we're going to finalize our choices for restaurants. That way I can be ready to make my reservations as soon as my 180 days arrive! :cool1:

We requested building 5 as well!! 40 days till we get to make adr's!!

There's not enough time to plan everything and yet its so far away! :hourglass:

We are going September 14-28 or September 21-October 5. Would like to go with the least crowds. Either way kids are missing 2 weeks of school. :woohoo:

This will be the first time each child will be able to order off the adult menu, so there is a big fight over with there. Daughter loves steak but has never been able to order her own due to the fact we always buy dining plan and she had to order from child menu.

We just can't wait!!! I'm gonna be on these boards a lot! Keep it coming!

We're booked for September 22-30! We've always stayed at Port Orleans in the summer, so this will be our first fall trip, first Food and Wine, first MNSSHP, and first stay at the Poly!

I've had my eyes on the Poly since I was little, and when we decided to celebrate our 10th anniversary at WDW, we decided to splurge. I proposed to my wife on the Poly beach, so it seems fitting, don't you think?

The reservations CM told me that she asked her boyfriend to be her boyfriend on the Poly beach. I thought that was neat. :)

This is also the furthest out we've booked at WDW, so the waiting game is going to be intolerable. Lots of extra time to save money, though! :thumbsup2

We are booked at POR for Sept.21-28. We we will be celebrating our 13th wedding anniversary on the 23rd.

This time we are going with a big group. My mother, mother in law, my brother and his family, & my sister and her youngest son. I am so looking forward to sharing thius vacation with them!

We just booked for Sep. 8th-13th! Staying at the new (to us) BLT with theme park view.

DD is finally able to get on the "big" rides as she's finally 40" now, so for the first time, our family can ride everything but a handful of rides without having to switch off.

We went the week of Sep 4th in 2011 (went in August last year...never again!) and are hoping for the same light crowds this time.

Hi everyone! I'm joining in too! My husband and I went for the first time last year and can't wait to go back! We are going Sept 8-14 (Villains Party! WOO!) And staying at Pop (HOW did I miss the giant Baloo when I booked last year!?) I am also a plan-aholic. I really wish there was more info on the Villains Party and especially FastPass+ so I could reseach & plan more! How is everyone else planning? 1 month from today until I book my ADRS! (still wishing for free dining!) :goodvibes

Today I laid out a very rough outline of what I want to do on each of my days in the park. Like what will we do on the MK day, where do I want my reservations to be on that day? What about Epcot? etc. That way you will know exactly what restaurants you will want to book even though you don't know for sure which days will be which until the hours are announced.

Haha done that! ;) I really do drive my husband crazy - I already have a must-do and what we did that we can skip list for every park! I think we are going to do some new stuff for ADRs though - I would really love to do Chef Mickey's - has anyone been there? Was it busy? Good character interactions? We were really impressed with Garden Grill with Chip n Dale last time!

We did Chef Mickey's last September and enjoyed it. The character interaction was great. We went for breakfast at about 9:30 AM and the food was ok but not exceptional. The crowd wasn't bad, while it was totally full we got our table within five minutes of our ADR time.

This year we want to try breakfast in MK at Crystal Palace early one morning. We'll see how that compares.

Super! We are going to try and do CM for breakfast on our last day, but depending on flights we might have to do dinner or something when we arrive. We are doing Crystal Palace this year too! I am sad that it looks like you will have the whole 100 Acre Wood Gang minus Rabbit. Rabbit is my favorite!

We usually try to end our vacation with a late Chef Mickey's breakfast. Unless I can talk the DH into upgrading to the DlxDDP (if they offer FD), then we won't be able to fit Chef Mickey's in.

i hope this isnt too :offtopic: but wondering if anyone has good suggestions/tips on flights? we usually fly southwest because our bags are free but airfare this year is almost double what we paid last year! and the flight times are terrible! do flight prices change the closer you get? do more flight times open up? any suggestions for airlines that dont charge for bags? thanks! :thumbsup2

We just booked our airfare on JetBlue. They have no bag fee for the first bag. We found the low cost fare by using Kayak.com and searching nearby airports for our departure city. We ended up getting our flights for about half of last year's price. We had been watching the Southwest website and from there it appears their lowest web fares occur a couple months before the flight, not when booking first opens up. If we hadn't gotten the JetBlue deal our plan was to watch the Southwest website really closely in about June. Good Luck!
