***** New September 2013 Thread *****

We just booked our airfare on JetBlue. They have no bag fee for the first bag. We found the low cost fare by using Kayak.com and searching nearby airports for our departure city. We ended up getting our flights for about half of last year's price. We had been watching the Southwest website and from there it appears their lowest web fares occur a couple months before the flight, not when booking first opens up. If we hadn't gotten the JetBlue deal our plan was to watch the Southwest website really closely in about June. Good Luck!

Good plan! I was hoping they would get a bid lower closer to summer! I have heard really good things about Jet Blue. But they don't fly out of Omaha :sad1: I will be checking in June then and hoping prices and times are better! :thumbsup2

Ok here I am on a Sept happy dance again! :) We went last Sept, had a great time for our 35th anniv. I was looking at Southwest today and found n/s flight for $260 r/t and had to book it. I had received a PIN in the mail awhile ago so i found that and TODAY was the last day to use it. Called Disney and yes PIN still active until midnight. I am on the phone with Disney and online booking the Southwest tickets at the same time. Within 30 mins had the whole thing booked for Sept. hahaha when i woke up this morning I had no idea that Disney was in my future. NOw I am back in the excited Disney mode. :cool1:

Headed to WL September 14-21! DH and I are celebrating our 12 year anniversary on the 15th! First time staying deluxe with the boys and we are so excited!! Only 331 days to go!! LOL!:rotfl2:

We will be there same time 14th to 22nd....Staying at Wyndham Bonnet Creek....We havent been in 2 years so we are excited...Never been to Disney when its been hot...Hope it doesnt ruin it for us...We are from SC so we should be use to it somewhat

Count me in. We are going 25th September for 14 nights staying off site. 8 of us mum, dad, me, my husband, our daughter, my sister, her fiancé and their little girl. First time staying off site for a while. Feels weird not planning all the dining reservations.

Hey everyone  We are going to be heading down in Sept this year! We will be there from the 25th until the 3rd when we are heading to cruise for 3 nights on The Dream!:cloud9:

dolphindan1, we are staying at Wyndham Bonnet Creek as well...so get her all ready for us! :thumbsup2

This is our 4th time staying there and we love it! So far the crew includes me, DH, and our two DD's aged 13 and 9 at the time we travel. Also planning on joining us is my cousin and her DD 9 and then her DH will be meeting up with us to board the ship. Although, they haven't booked anything yet, so we will see as the time approaches whether it will be just us or not.

We can't wait for this trip, we have been spoiled the past two years with two trips to WDW each year, but with the cruise added on we just can't afford another trip. It seems sooooooo far away!!!!

So, aren't the park hours going to be listed soon?

I am going to go back and read my way through this thread, so excited to be here planning with everyone!!:hyper::surfweb:

That's exciting! I've always wanted to add a cruise to the end of one of my trips but never had the $$$ to do it and I'm afraid I never will. Maybe one day I'll be able to do a straight 7 day cruise, someday.

But more importantly, YES park hours should be going up soon. I've been checking pretty much every day to see if they have added any days and right now they are about 3 days from being done with August's hours. I'm just hoping they have my hours up before I can make my ADR's in 20 days!

Hi! We are planning a trip too! We will be there Sept 21-28, staying at Wyndham Bonnet Creek. I have booked my daughter for a YES class already - How Things Move. Waiting for the schedules to come out so I can plan my ADRs. This will be our first time at Disney since having kids! My husband's parents will be joining us, and bringing their other grandchild too. My girls will be 4 and 7, and their cousin will be 3.

Two years ago DH and I did a 3 night on the Dream alone. It was sort of a reconnection for us. We booked while on board to bring the girls back two years later which gave us time to save to pay for it. I would love to do a week on The Fantasy or even a B2B on The Dream to visit Castaway Cay twice. But that would definitely be a lofty dream for us.

As for park hours...there was speculation on easywdw that they are eliminating EMH and might be starting it in Sept and that might be why we are still waiting for the calendar to be released. Staying offsite that doesn't matter to us, but I think it will totally mess with lots of people's plans. We'll just have to wait and see.

Our dates overlap at WBC...we might run into each other! We have stayed there multiple times and we love it! We tried the YES class this past Oct and we saved lots on our park tickets. They have changed the structure of the discounts though, so not sure if it's worth the hassle of the class. My kids weren't too thrilled with it. It think they may be too old for it. I'll be checking it out to see if there are any classes that they would be interested in this year, though.

Count us in! We just rebooked from October to September 14-21 to save $600. We are staying at Wilderness Lodge and will still celebrate all 4 of our birthdays even if it's to a little. Celebrating early puts me closer to the budget my husband gave me for our girls only birthdays trip.
:dance3:

First I've ever heard of this! Please cite your source. Also, as much as I want the hours to be released right now, I don't think their release is exactly overdue yet, so I'm trying not to get too worked up. Though I would love to be able to start planning for real!

The hours are overdo. They are usually released by now. It's getting very close to the wire. Someone checking in August 23rd or sooner would be able to make reservations for September 1st starting at February 24 with 180 +10.

I did cite my source...easywdw.com. It was a quick one liner about him having to wait for the Sept hours to be released before he formulate his park recommendations, followed by the info he had heard that emh is probably a thing of the past.

It really is getting to be right down to the wire...thankfully, I am traveling late in the month so it's not that bad for me. I feel for the folks trying to plan for earlier in the month.

When you look to see when the park hours for Aug were released, it says Jan 14, so I figured they would be up by now for Sept.

I probably came off as sounding rude. Sorry about that. I guess I was meaning that I just wanted to see what page it was on to read the context behind it. I've seen read a bit of these discussions on the DIS and whatnot sine I posted, so never mind.

Disney has been adding one day at a time to their online calendar. Today, they are up to Aug 31, so I'm hoping that September hours become available tomorrow. I assume 9/1 will become available, but I'm hoping the rest of September is distributed to the travel agents link as well.

We check in on 9/21. I'm hoping to make 180 day ressies, but we've never booked 180 days in advance before. More importantly, I expect all my pre-planning to go out the window once they release MNSSHP dates and F&W details/schedules. So... I'm completely expecting to have to make changes to my ADRs long after hours are released.

Can make my ADR in 10 days. Yes only making one. Boma is something I have to do other wise can wing it.pixiedust::hyper:

Read previous pages and joining in!
Not sure of our dates yet, but it will be mid Sept. POP is our resort of choice and of course FD is hoped for. I hate having to wait to see the promo, but last Sept. we stayed at AoA and there was no bounceback offered. Fingers crossed.

Just got back from a Feb. trip with dining and we ate toooooo much. Came back with over 30 points worth of cupcakes and krispie treats. I hated all the ADRs (decent meals - wasted time) and am excited to get back to just the quick service.

We did do lunch at BOG and it was really a sweet experience. The onion soup is worth a snack point if you just want to go in and check it out!
Stood in line for 70 mins with an adult DD for Belle's storytime. Glad we did it, never again though. Great for younger ones, and the magic mirror is amazing.
