This is Walter our guide in Washington D.C. My dd11 took his picture because of the lime green umbrella that he used for us to follow him. He had a flashlight under it because it was a night tour.

Mary, is it time to go home yet?? I am tired at the moment, probably the Percocet hitting me. But it does help, even if I do feel like I've had a bit too much :laundy: . :rotfl:

I have the MRI this evening, I will try to get on tonight from home and see how things went after I am done, and will let ya know as soon as I hear from the dr (hopefully in the next day or two).
Hope things went well tonight! Oh man was it a long day. Gonna be real long tomorrow, Muscles is going to work with me for Take Your Kids to Work Day.

We're home! All went very well. SHe has to keep her knee immobilized for a week, then next week back to the doctor and physical therapy 2x a week for 4 to 6 weeks. She's sleeping right now. I gotta tell you 14 year old girls coming out of anesthesia are funny!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
Glad things went well. I can imagine how much fun Winnie was. Sometimes Muscles falls asleep in the living room or our bedroom and when I'm waking him up to go to bed he says all kinds of goofy stuff. I love it! :lmao:

We were watching Extreme Home Makeover in syndication. It must have been one of the earliest ones. They keep showing the designers having all kinds of disagreements with each other AND the home builders. At one point the home builders threatened to have one of the designers arrested and would press charges. :scared1: Based on Kellydoodles comments I'm guessing thats probably why the designers don't spend that much time there any more. popcorn::

Oh good :shamrock: I feel for you really!! Anthony is going to work with my mom.. :teeth: For some reason he didn't want to go to my work!! :confused3

Please send prayers for my friend Sue and her family. I got a call about an hour ago that her husband was killed in a boating accident this afternoon. Their son is getting married in June, they just got the house remodeled for their "just the two of us" time of life, and they were making plans for retirement in the next year or two. Life is so tenuous! Even if your husband(or wife, or child, or parent) seems like a PITA today, think of Sue and Scott and give your loved ones an extra hug. :sad1:

Oh my goodness this is one of those "never think that it is bad enough that it can't be worse" I am so sorry  It will be hard for the family to make all these adjustments at a time when positive things are lined up. They will be added to my prayer list

oooh we are playing dr? I wanna be the mean receptionist!

OH you must go to MY DOCTOR! you haffa 1st get past the guard dog to even get an appointment set up. Once you show up she is the owner of the best snarly face ever :headache:

Funny you should say that. I just saw someone else using it on another thread. :cloud9:
:wave2: :sunny: How far are you from San Antonio? DH just asked me if I wanted to go this summer. He wants to go to a teacher conference.

Thanks ducky buddy.

Yeah it is fun & genetic. He had 10 surgeries in 2 years so that messed up his college. I think Jacqueline's DD has something with her joints too. Part of the medical stuff she was trying to get medical clearence on for college.

yup the two of us suffer from hyper-mobility so our bones do not hold together tight enough it is at times hard to pull my knees forward when I walk and they lock "backwards" Em's back is killing her due to trouble with her discs and referred pain from reflux. She can't walk any great distance at one time which is why she needs a residence that is within walking distance to most of her classes

I am rambling tonight .....

WOW i thought they might keep her overnight till she was able to function a bit on her own! but the I remembered how she had the surgery. I can only imagine how well she will do with keep it immobilized for a week NOT

I'm about 3.5 hours away. If you go you could always come down to South Padre Island, and maybe I can borrow my cousin's condo for the weekend. Let me know.:thumbsup2

how nice just when i NEED, truly need some friends there are peeps still up.

For those of who have ttens (older ones) or those who have already left home, how do you deal with the times when they feel that being a "young" child is better? All of a sudden i am spending more time with Em then I did when she was 5. I think the possibility of University is causing great stress and she is reacting in the only way she knows how .... Hang on tight to Mom and don't let her out of your sight.

We decided to take knitting lessons to give us something fun to do together ... she caught on ME mine looks like the dog had the needles :scared1:

Mine is going back and forth between, "Mommy, help me." and "Why do you keep butting into my life?" And :rotfl: about the dog and the needles.

Actually she has a bandages and a brace on her leg that will not allow the knee to move. When the doc said immobilized, I thought she would be stuck in bed or on the couch for a week, but she can get up and walk around and can put weight on her foot now, just can't bend the knee. She is planning to go to the YMCa dinner tonight to see LizzY get her award. We'll see how she feels tonight to makethe final call on that!

Oh not much. I was going out with someone for a few months, but they lived in Houston and things just weren't working out. My parents moved back to San Antonio to try and finish selling their house up their. I'm trying to keep my job at the bank (they are being integrated into Compass Bank), and I'm not 100% sure I'll have a job there. So, I'm looking around. Hmmm, can't think of anything else really big, oh yeah the Cubs Are On Fire!!!!! :teeth: I couldn't help myself.

Ronnie!!! I've missed you - I am on sometimes during the day shhh at work but not at home anymore cause my computer isn't hooked up - not to mention the fact that I am busy with my sweetie and your always on at night! We'll have to catch up sometime.. Fingers crossed you get to keep your job and you find princess:
