That is just horrible.. Life is just too short. I know the kid Anthony plays hockey with (the one we took to Florida with us this summer and his grandparents are raising him) Well they found his mother dead the other day. I feel so bad for the kid.. He never really got to know his mother. They believe it was a drug overdose but none the less its hard.

Some kids just can't catch a break. Poor guy. He's lucky to have his grandparents (and you guys) looking out for him.

I have not been on even to lurk since Friday morning! that is WAY too long!!! I went back to the dr on Friday afternoon for my back, he says I have a brand new damaged disc between L5 and S1 this time and it is pushing my spine sideways to the right, which is causing the pain and the weakness in my right leg too. He is sending me for an MRI so they can get a better picture that the xray was giving, and then we will look into a cortizone injection first, if that doesn't work, he wants to discuss surgery!

unfortunately yesterday, they found out that my bil is being laid off, he works for ConAgra in the IT department, I think with the edi team, and their entire department is being outsourced to India. So they are letting him and the rest of his group go, last day July 16. He will get severance and all, but still very scary!

DH just got a cortisone shot in the hip. Hope yours does you a world of good. Sorry about your BIL. Good luck to him.

getting off work to go to work. At least tonight is adults. They are so fun and really cute trying to get over the fear of the water. Wonder how many new bruises I'll have tonight from the clutching!

No, not a hallucination. I finally got around to looking at the new DIS & I thought I'd stop by and see what the cool people were doing.

Hanging in there. She has to be at the hospital at 7:30 am. We're both nervous. I just can[t let her know that I'm nervous. THe hospital that she is going to is gorgeous. I swear the lobby looks like the lobby of a really nice hotel. Each oatient has their own personal nurse in recovery after the surgery. Our doctor has a fantastic reputation. Everything should go well, but being the Mom, I still worry! Thanks for asking.

Now see, on the one hand I am glad to know, but on the other hand
I HATED the epidural I had with Catie, afterwards I said if I had more kids I would rather have labor without the epidural cause the stupid thing hurt so bad to get it and it didn't really work for me(made my outside numb, but I still felt ALL the internal muscle cramping, etc). So its much worse than that, huh?? Eeps! But it is still better than surgery, so I will do it anyway. We have a local back pain center place that the dr sends patients to that does these all day every day.

Poor Winnie and poor mom..... I know it was tough when Cole had his tonsils out at Xmas....and that surgery only lasts 14 minutes.

Sorry about the job - Im in the same boat AGAIN (the boss first old me I had til April 08, then changed it to June 09, now he's changed it back "not sure"...great...)

Oh not much. I was going out with someone for a few months, but they lived in Houston and things just weren't working out. My parents moved back to San Antonio to try and finish selling their house up their. I'm trying to keep my job at the bank (they are being integrated into Compass Bank), and I'm not 100% sure I'll have a job there. So, I'm looking around. Hmmm, can't think of anything else really big, oh yeah the Cubs Are On Fire!!!!! I couldn't help myself.

Don't stay away so long! Just remember we're the ladies that come first in your life!

I'm sure things will work out for us. If I have to I'll just move to Orlando and work in Disney World.

I have the MRI this evening, I will try to get on tonight from home and see how things went after I am done, and will let ya know as soon as I hear from the dr (hopefully in the next day or two).

We're home! All went very well. SHe has to keep her knee immobilized for a week, then next week back to the doctor and physical therapy 2x a week for 4 to 6 weeks. She's sleeping right now. I gotta tell you 14 year old girls coming out of anesthesia are funny!

Hope it all goes well tonight - I wont scare you this time - MRI's are a breeze. I actually find it pretty relaxing ("here lady, lie down with these nice headphone on for an hour or so....no one will ask you any quesitons or tell you they spilled thier milk on the remote....you'll even hear nice tempanic drums to soothe you." ) Just relax and enjoy.

So glad to hear she came through well! Ahh, so she is one of those people who is funny coming out, hmm>?? My sil is that way too! Not me, I am sick sick sick... coming off anesthesia... I'm sure it will not be fun having to keep the kneww immobilized, but she will do great, I am certain! to you both!

That darn work. I was laughing so hard at Nick today we were walking home from school and he had a rough day so we had his blankie and he had it wrapped around him I was pretty warm and he was wrapped up in his blankie man did that bring back some wonderful memories thats why I had to text ya.
