No strep for me. I'm doing much better today. I spent the day in bed watching chick lit flicks (say that 3 times fast). First I watched Jane Eyre with William Hurt, then Sense and Sensibility with Emma Thomson and Alan Rickman. That's the movie that gave me a crush on him, believe it or not. Who had the Snape avatar? Was that you, Allie?

Morning all!!!

I was up allll day yesterday, so that means I was up for about 24 hours.

well, I slept last night. For almost 9 hours!!!

I'm a little more wired today

Hi, everyone! Its been fairly busy at work, and between sick little catie and my meds, I haven't had any energy to get online at home. Catie does have strep, she went on the antibiotics yesterday afternoon, so she is home with Grandma today again, but should be back to school tomorrow. My back is unfortunately NOT better, in fact it feels like it is getting worse. I am getting LOTS of sleep though! I told Rick last night that if I don't see pretty significant improvement by Friday, I am calling the dr, but I expect the will send me back to the MRI tube for it, darn it!

We have been having some decent weather here. Anyone got a hammock they don't want? That is my hope for the summer to get a nice one so I can lay out a bit and relax on my own.

Sharing the lime pollen with the Bear, very thankful that we don't react to it.

I had mentioned my friend, Elizabeth, who had stage 4 cancer and seemed to be coming along ok. Th last few months have been pretty bad for her, and she passed on Sunday morning. It was a bit hard to explain to Krista where her "friend" was and that she had moved on to better things than her pain. She use to babysit Kris when she was younger. The viewing & funeral are tomorrow. She got to spend an extra year 1/2 with us when they told her there wasn't much chance even after surgery.

Otherwise things are moving on. Waiting on tax refunds and the rebate to come in. Trying to decide what best to do with it and what special to do with it. Come on , summer!

Ugh! that stinks! I'm right there with you! I feel so much better than I did the past few days, stomach/fever wise, but woke up this morning really congested with a sinus headache...I guess that's what happens when you can't keep the allergy meds down. Hope the antibiotics kick in for you. I used to get ear infections all the time, and I know how painful they can be.

In about 1/2 hour I take Winnie for an MRI. The orthopedist is fairly certain she has a torn meniscus and will need surgery! We have another appointment with him tomorrow a.m. to go over the MRI and determine whether the surgery is a go. DD just wants to get back to the track team and is very upset that she is very likely out for the whole season. Her knee locked up while running at track practice the day before their first meet (last week). She didn't trip or anything, it just stopped working. Our school district is lucky to have the best track in the entire state. The HS State track meets are always held here, because we have the best conditions. The doctor asked if she tripped on the track surface or anything like that and about what type of surface she was running on. When he heard where she was running, he said well there is no safer surface to run on than that track.
