I keep seeing posts about the new rules regarding banking I think:confused: . Is there a location I can go to to see what has changed. Anything else new besides banking?( I did read on this board that there is a $95 charge to use your points at a Disney hotel) Thank you:teacher: :)

Basically, that's it. Trades to regular WDW hotels now have a $95 charge per reservation, and you can not book those stays during the last 4 months of your use year (though you can stay at the WDW resorts during that time frame, the reservation has to be made prior to the 4 months).

The new banking rules are 100% banking up to the 8th month of your use year, no banking in the last 4 months. It works better than the "old" rules for some members, not for others.

... so If you have a Feb use year you have until Sept or is it Oct to bank? Thank you so much for the information Chuck S. Good thing I am on this board:)

That is correct, if Feb then until end of Sept. It is end of the eighth month of use year and since points are issued on the first day of your use year month, you have to remember to always count your first month when counting to get to eight months.

I just wanted to pipe in and say that currently there is not a $95 fee to book at the DLR in California (maybe GC and PP too for all I know) And I have no idea if or when that will change

This information was also communicated to members via the e-mail newsletter, Vacation Magic magazine and the DVC official site. I agree that such changes will be discussed and elaborated on much more on this site, but we don't have to rely on the posters here to find out about official DVC changes to the rules of our membership.

I only mention this because your original post asked if there was a location you could see what has changed. Both of these changes are included in the "What's New" section of the member web site. :)
