Voting for someone on this board would be a pleasant change compared with the lousy politicians I usually end up voting for. I say if you've got a volunteer that you're happy with, hand off the baton. Well, unless it is someone that is struggling to resist criticizing my out-of-focus pictures.

I'd love to have made the offer like Gdad did but with all the other business in life I just can't guarantee that I'd be around to run it on a timely basis... but I would be happy to be a backup if need be.

I'm not sure if RSS would help - that's for syndicating, not creating new posts. Now, I am sure that someone could automate a script for some of the repetitive work but there's still hands-on stuff like grabbing the URLs of the entries (and not just a mass-grab of all the JPGs on the page), alerting entrants of "illegal" entries (too big, borders, etc), that kind of thing.

I do think that there should be a quick synopsis of the key technical rules at the beginning of each contest thread - specifically, max size, no borders, your own photo, one entry per person.

Sorry I have been MIA, again!! I just can't seem to get everything done... I even had to go tell the people on the WISH board that I was still alive, cause I had been gone so long!! Ok... I don't really have a preference as to who takes over the contest. At first I was kind of wary, this is like my baby... I didn't like the idea of someone coming in and changing how things were done. However, I have come to the realization that if I am not running it myself, then I have no right to get grumpy about how anyone else sees fit to run it!! If rtphokie wants to run the contest, and Gdad is sure that doesn't bother him.... then I would say that rtphokie is fine with me. We have to get something going soon though... there are only 2 weeks left, if that!!
