New Room-Only Offer on WDW Site: Code DMK

2 Rooms at POP, 7 Day PH tickets for 5 (2adults, 3 kids 17,17,11), "free" dining, and trip insurance for $2800 and change. Sound like a decent deal?

Well, your kids are considered adults by Disney (age 10 and over).....so your breakdown would look something like this:

7 day PH @ $305.07 (includes tax) x 5 = $1525.35
Current offer for value starts at $59 per night x7 x2rooms = $878.89 (includes tax)
Dining value $37.99 x 5 people x 7 nights = $1329.65

Total value: $3733.89 (plus insurance which I have no clue the cost)

So your "free" dining is actually costing you around $400 for the week ($1525 tickets plus $879 rooms = $2404). I think you'd be quite hard pressed to feed a family of five for $400 on almost any vacation.

Although $400 doesn't actually sound "free"....the fact is that typically for free dining you have to pay "rack rate" which for POP ranges from $82 to $129 (depending on what "season" you go). So if you were to calculate your two rooms at $82 x 7 x 2 = $1222.62, so then your $2800 quote would actually be about perfect (assuming the insurance is around $60).

One thing to consider.....if your family has any plans to go back to Disney within 12 months, you might want to upgrade your 7 day PH to Annual Passes. They cost $499 with tax, so as long as you plan to spend at least 2 more days in the future (a 2day PH is $211) it's worth considering. There are some other advantages to APs besides admission, including resort discounts, the ability to purchase the Tables of Wonder (formerly Disney Dining Experience) that will get you 20% off most Table Service meals (should you choose not to do the dining plan in the future of course). There is a 10% discount at World of Disney. Plus some other benefits as well. Just something to consider.

If you decide to upgrade to an AP, simply take your current tickets to any park's Guest Services booth and they'll handle it for you.

Have a wonderful vacation!

At Pop we would've paid $334.11 for 3 nights now at All Stars we are paying $200.01 for 3 nights.

Same thing happened to me!! I'm a Pop person, and when they said All Star Sports for 59 a night, I jumped all over that one!!! Hey last min trip, price is right, ya can't go wrong with that!!

Question is that I don't understand why there are no codes for the week of Dec 8th..... I believe the first of dec is the Pop Warner folks... 2nd wk of dec ???? Just wondering if the wk of the 15th will be busy.....

If you go by the disboards for how busy the week of the 15th will be, I think it will be busy. We are going that week and I have seen a lot of post with people going that same week due to all the discounts codes/promotions Disney is offering during that time. So I'm preparing myself now for larger crowds than we expected when we first planned our Dec trip back in the summer. We went last year at the same time and it was more crowded than I expected. So maybe since I'm expecting the crowds this year I will be better prepared.

I just called in and saved too! We had two nights at BC and now have 3 nights at YC (BC not available). Staying off property first 4 nights so by switching to 3 nights at YC it's costing additional 130.00 total for all 7 nights. Used DMK code. I searched online first then called in. CM asked me where I got the code.

I was able to change our reservation from Pop to All Star Sports for $59 a night with this code. At Pop we would've paid $334.11 for 3 nights now at All Stars we are paying $200.01 for 3 nights. I'm not super excited about being at All Stars, but for $59 I can pretend! :) And knowing I only have an $88 balance when I arrive is nice too.

I'm gonna PM you, but i just now got on the phone using the DMK code, and got POP for $59 a night!!!!! YAHOOO!!!! Nothing against All Star Sports, but Pop has always been my home base!! Not sure when you are going... but it doesnt hurt to try!!
