I was wondering what most people do. Do you book the same resort every year or do you like sampling them all?

So far for me, I've stayed at 3 different onsites, but not sure if next year we will try something new.

A little of both....

Where we stayed during each trip:

ASMu 8 nights
CBR/WL 4/3 nights
AKL/Poly 4/3 nights
AKL 3 nights
WL 4 nights
BWI/GF 3/5 nights
YC 5 nights
ASMu 3 nights
ASMo 4 nights
PopC 4 nights
upcoming PopC/BWV/WL 1/5/3 nights

So far, we've stayed at a different on-site resort every trip. Keeps our trips fresh. Most of them, we'd enjoy staying at again...maybe some day.

Our absolute favorite is the Grand Floridian, but it is fun to do split stays sometimes, too. We just got back from a GF/YC split and had a really nice vacation between those two resorts and the different pools and restaurants & amenities they offer.

We have stayed at all the deluxes except WL and AKL which we really don't care to. Once we found the GF, that has been pretty much IT for us ;) but once in a while it's refreshing to have a change of scenery.:) We like all the deluxes for different reasons.

I have developed a passion for trying new resorts. :thumbsup2 The thrill of exploring new lobbies, new pools, new rooms, and yes, even new food courts. ;) I really have a thing about staying at as many different resorts as possible. We are staying at CSR next month.

We had stayed at Poly 4x after YC and POR 2x and since then, have tried POP and WL. I have been happy with all the resorts and would return to any of them. I fell in love with WL, though, and will go back there for certain. I do find it very nostalgic to return to a resort after waiting a few years or more.

There's a method to my madness of trying something new each time. If we stay at a different resort each trip, the memories come back easier when I can tie it to a specific resort.

Our wish list includes: AKL, CR, GF, BC, BWI, Swolphin. We would also like to try CBR and perhaps Assports (for a couple nights) while DGS would still appreciate it.

I like to try a new resort each time.
We are on our last Moderate.
On my wish list Poly, AKL & WL.

I would LOVE to try a different resort everytime we go, but we ALWAYS end up with the same 'ol, same 'ol Poly.

I always joke that some people I know want to get their PhD, some want to climb Everest...but me? I wanna stay at EVERY WDW resort at least once!:thumbsup2 You can see in my signature where we have stayed so far. Sometimes we just have to repeat a resort because we get such a good deal (like the BWV when we rent points or the FL res rate at The Dolphin) and we still have not stayed at any monorail deluxes due to the price.

I do have my favorites (actually, a lot of favorites...WL (of course) and AKL, the Dolphin and BWV) and there are some places I don't care to stay at again (OKW and POP come to mind) but overall, I have enjoyed every single stay and look forward to trying them all.

haven't stayed twice at the same resort yet, but definitely have a list in mind of resorts i would go back to.

We always stay at the Epcot resort area, usually at the YC.It is so nice to walk over to Epcot or the Boardwalk to end the evening.:thumbsup2
:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

I'd love to one day be able to say I've stayed at all og the onsite resorts, not sure if it will ever happen, but a girl can dream right? So far we've stayed at Boardwalk x2 (studio and 1 bedroom villas) and Yacht Club. This year we are staying at Beach Club Villas (1-bedroom) and next year we are planning on Port Orleans French Quarter.

I would LOVE to try a different resort everytime we go, but we ALWAYS end up with the same 'ol, same 'ol Poly.

That's us...this trip is a delayed 25th anniversary trip 7 years later and I was determined to try new resorts. In fact, I still have the original paper I prepared when I called CRO the first time. My original list was WL, AKL and CS(because it's our neighbor's favorite resort) This was also a trip put together at the end of this June, so my choices were limited. After showing my dh pics of the top3 resorts, he nixed WL because it reminds him of camping<G> (I'll try it when I'm w/o him someday<G>) So then Poly moved into the 3rd spot After several tries with CRO, we ended up with Poly at that time and dh said keep it So we're back at Poly. I guess it was a good thing that I couldn't get into AKL. We had to add a night so we'll be at ASMU for one night. It's where I'd like to book the extended family of 12 next year.

So if i had my way, I would do a split stay trying one new resort each stay.

We tend to be creatures of habit and stay at the same resort, YC! You get so used to being in one certain place it is hard to "think" that things could be better somewhere else! Even though the reality is that everything is wonderful at WDW!

We tend to stay at the same resort. It was the Polynesian when the kids were younger, but we switched to the Beach Club and have been there for our last four trips.

My goal, which DH has to go along with, is to stay at all Disney resorts.

I don't mind doing split stays at all. This Dec., we're staying at POR one night bec. I've always loved the look of the mansions and to see Bob Jackson. Then we're moving to CBR, Swan (DH gets gov't rate), and finally CR.

We tried a different resort once and were homesick for the Boardwalk the entire time:sick: Now we can't imagine staying anywhere else especially since we have been spoiled by the concierge level and staff:cloud9: I thought it would be fun to try the Poly sometime but I don't know if I am up for a split stay or not and we definately have to end our stay at the Boardwalk! It is our home away from home and makes our Disney trips complete!:)

Now that my DS is 6 we are trying to visit every other year. Our first trip as a family was in 2005 at POP. Loved it. The values are great when families are young and vacations evolve around the parks. This past trip 6/8-6/16 2007 we stayed at CBR:) He loved the activities at the pool. I am trying to save the deluxe resorts as he becomes older. The activities at the resorts might become more important. Also it is a money saving tip to be able to visit WDW more often. He realizes that WDW has different themed resorts. He is requesting Sports next trip in 2009/2010. Which if the resort becomes renovated as planned then maybe I will consider it because of his age/interests. Even tho my DH and I stayed there when it was brand new in 1994. If my choice I would chose POFQ and if we plan well WL . But I would be afraid I will never go back to value:goodvibes

I think our goal is to try different ones until we find a "home" resort. Also, beginning next trip I think we're going to need two rooms which may send us back to the budgets, in which case we'll try the all stars and see which one is our fav. I definitely prefer a preferred room location at the budgets though, those walks can be tough when you're pushing a wheel chair.

We love trying out all the resorts! I agree that it gives a different flavor to each vacation, and gives you something to look forward to - although there's something to be said for returning to places that feel like a second "home", too. :goodvibes

We've stayed just about everywhere we want to stay (YC will be knocked out next trip), except for CR, POR, and a turn at all the DVC resorts since we're now members (although we do love our "home" - SSR!). The only resorts I don't have an interest in are the All Stars (I miss the amenities of the mods and deluxes), and CSR (because we don't care for the theming).

I have yet to have a terrible experience at any of the Disney resorts - they all offer great, different things!
