NEW Rejected Offers Thread

What is a fair price for a fully loaded 150 point SS resale contract? 100.?
My idea of fair is whatever makes sense for you as a buyer for that particular contact.

If it checks all the boxes for you, then I wouldn’t let a few dollars here or there dissuade you.

But, as posted, there are tools out there that give you an idea of what people paid…be aware that the one tied to the DIS represents real bargain hunters and may not represent average.

I ran into this with a broker recently so now I will only deal with the board sponsor. I'm on my 3rd resale with them now and haven't had an issue.
I have also had this happen with the board sponsor, who I have purchased and sold numerous contracts with.

For me, it began this summer. It feels like this is now a strategy for DVC sellers and brokers, much like it is for the housing market.

It actually does! Plus, we need to remember that those in the DIS world are much more versed in pricing and negotiating!
I agree as well. But I do believe it should be more transparent. How do we, the buyers, know if there are actually additional bids? It benefits both the broker AND the seller to drive up the price.

We don’t know if there are other bids, but if it’s low enough for us to bite, chances are others are too.
I will say in my experience with a few brokers, they only say multiple bids, they never tell you what the highest is trying to get you to out bid. That I think is a better way to do it than trying to run an auction
