New Refurbishments

We're in the same boat! I chose late April because I thought maybe the crowds might be a little lower, but I had no idea so much would be closed! I knew about the Star Wars Land stuff and I'm ok with that, but I'm really bummed about the Swings and the monorail. And now the Matterhorn is only going to be open the first day we are in the parks, so we will have to be sure to ride that the first day! I can't say for sure that I will never be back, I would like to see Disneyland at Christmas at some point, but it probably won't be for a few years.

As far as crowds go, they probably will be lighter. Reports are (even last year) that the end of April is pretty slow comparatively. Too bad so much will be closed.

I hate that they only open rides on the weekends, my AP only allows me to go during the week so no matterhorn for me

POTC is closed May 9th-May 15th FYI

Matterhorn is open Monday May 9th so maybe they are finished with the only open on weekends thing starting then "fingers crossed"

I guess this is the risk you take going before summer! We go May 14-17 so really hoping the Matterhorn is open by the time we leave. I can deal with no monorail but I have yet to enjoy Matterhorn. It is always down when I come!
