I’m looking at purchasing at Bay lake tower resale ... by the time I get closed will be 8 months from the time I normally come ... will 8 months out give me enough time to get my home resort at bay lake or will it most likely be sold out ??

Late January to early September are, except for a few weekends here and there, low season for DVC. You'll likely be able to get what you want at BLT 8 months in advance, with the exception of the standard view rooms.
