For those of you that stay at the DLR they've started a new promotion today. Stay 5 nights for the price of 3 and get a 5 day park hopper for the price of a 3 day. I just saved us $120 from our previous reservation at the DLH and we get a full extra day and night for the middle of May....I can't contain myself! :cool1:

That IS great! Is this offer on the DLR website or where did you see it? Also, what is the expiration date on it? Since summer is 3 months away and that is one of their busiest times, I assume this promotion ends before then? And does this include the three primary DLR hotels or the Disney-Good Neighbor hotels?

I just looked and didn't see it. When do you have to travel by?

I looked also. Didn't see anything about the hotel offer. I did purchase the get 5 pay for 3 ticket deal though.

I saw on disney's site that the new promotional tickets are good from april 1, 2009 through Sept 30th, 2009.

Yay! That saves me $15! Every little bit helps. I'll buy my son's ticket with this offer and the adult tickets with the everyone gets in at kids price tickets.

Thank you!

If I read and heard correctly, if you purchase the everyone gets in at kids price tickets you need to use them by April 30, 2009.

Where are they advertising 5 nights for the price of 3 at the DLH? When are the usable dates?

I see on the DL website about the new 5 day hopper for the price of a 3 day, but not the DLH part.:confused3

Supposedly the promotion just started today, unfortunately I don't know whether or not Good Neighbors are included. I called Disney Reservations through the website and the nicest reservationists said this offer is good through September 30th...wow! But she did mention that it's filling up fast so call right away :) Since I had an existing reservation I did have to pay a $25 change fee but man was it worth it. Good luck!

This was on the disboards at the top of the page.

Book a 3 or More Night Stay at a Participating Disneyland Resort Hotel or Disneyland Good Neighbor Hotel and Receive 2 Nights FREE!

Book 3 or more nights at a participating Disneyland Resort Hotel or Disneyland Good Neighbor Hotel between March 24, 2009 and August 11, 2009 and receive 2 nights FREE including park admission! That’s right, 2 free nights at a participating Disneyland hotel and 2 free days to enjoy the Disneyland Resort.

Travel for the Disneyland Resort Hotels (Disney’s Paradise Pier, Disneyland Hotel and Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa) must be for arrivals beginning April 1, 2009 through September 26, 2009 and arrivals for a Disney Good Neighbor Hotel must be for arrivals beginning May 1, 2009 through September 26, 2009.

Yes I saw it on the top of the DIS boards, but I would want to go through DL website. Thanks.

Also - DO you know if DLH has a cancelation fee if we booked and later had to cancel?

Tracer, you brought up a good question about a cancellation fee. And I had a similar thought because Heymy mentioned having to pay $25. So I wanted to clarify - Heymy, did you have an existing package deal, complete with Hoppers and a DLR hotel room stay, or did you just have an existing room-only reservation (that you changed when you saw the new promo)?

The reason this caught my attention is that as of December last year, if you booked a 'room-only' reservation through Central Reservations (no tickets involved) and had to cancel or change the dates on your reservation, there was NO charge at all unless you made the change within 5 days of your arrival. Only when a package was booked through the Walt Disney Travel Company and you had to change a plan was there a fee. And the closer it got to arrival date, the fee increased. If you had to cancel, WDTC kept $100 of your money, no matter when the cancellation was. But if you had to change the dates or add an extra night or anything like that, they charged $25. So one of the big benefits of using Central rather than WDTC was the flexibility to change or alter your reservation and not be penalized at all. I had to make about 3 separate date changes to my Dec. 2008 hotel reservation and there was no charge. It was easy to change one reservation booked at an existing rate to a better rate if a better promo/AP rate came along, and there was no fee.

Someone on DIS recently said that Central (room only) Reservations had merged with WDTC this year, so I am wondering if this means that any and all changes to ANY reservations (room only or packages) from here on out will incur a fee??? So if we booked something at the best rate we could find and then later found a better rate later and tried to change it to the lower price, they may charge for that change now. I hope not, but I have a hunch Disney may be doing that now if the Central Res. Dept. merged with the WDTC. They may have changed a few of their policies.

Someone on the budget board mentioned that GAT has this deal.

What a bummer they charged the change fee! Sure they CAN, but they don't always do it.

I just put in my dates and it came up on teh reservations page of disneyland.com
It does have to be a package-- room and tickets to get the deal. I could not get the 5 for 3 deal with room only.

Just cancelled our 4 night room only reservations (with 3 day park hoppers) for August/September (No change fee).
Had two rooms booked with the 30% off special room rates that was offered around the first of the year.

Made new reservations for the same dates adding one night and it cost us just $70.12 more for one room and $66.00 more for the second. We have 5 day tickets for the price of 3 the DLH for 5 nights for the price of three nights, and it only raised our original (tickets/room only) price $136.12. For a package deal Not Bad!
Now we have an extra day to play with more park time to celebrate two birthdays. :cool1:

(the offer reads: valid for booking from March 24th through August 11th for arrivals April 1st
through September 26th. Travel must be completed by October 1st 2009)
This is for a package deal, the DL resorts Hotels...buy three nights get two free.

I wonder if we book the 5 for 3 nights at the DLH, and then in a few months they add a GC for $100 to the offer, if we can somehow get the GC. Or do you think we will have to rebook...thoughts??

The GC is included in the promotion, as well as the good neighbor hotels. I just booked a package today for May 29-June3rd for PPH.
If you go to the Disney website and search for a 5 night package with 5 day park hoppers the promotion will come up on the quote.
I did call reservations anyway though because I had questions. She was surprised that I knew about the promotion because it is kind of "hidden" on their website. Why, i don't know? She said I was only the second person all day that she had talked to that already knew about the promotion before she told them. And this was at 3pm!

On another note - to any AP holders: I asked if any new AP rates would come out for May. She didn't know but said that AP holders COULD book this promotion package. They simply take off the price of the tickets. My sister is doing this since she has an AP, for the same 5 nights as I mentioned above. With taxes and resort fee it comes to $155ish a night. Not bad!
