I forgot to mention in the other thread that the 1300 loop playground was in the middle of being replaced by updated equipment when I left. They also had the playground by the marina fenced off and I am hoping they are also replacing that one with updated equipment. The playground by the pool was still open and still the same old playground. I wish they would update the pool while they were at it. Does anyone remember if River Country had a pool, or was it mainly the lake? I only went a couple of times with little ones and can not remember if it had a seperate pool.

Yes River Country had a pool you could swim in most of it but at one end they had two slides that drop in to the pool. I wish they would open River Country to FW guest but I know it would cost to must for Disney just a wish.

We just came back from a 2 week trip, and one of the playground opened up the day we left, the kids never had a chance to try it. The pool at River Country was a great one, it was really deep, and you could dive from the rocks, and it was so deep that it was always cold. They had 2 great slides that were fairly high, and used to have Goofy in a bathing suit come down. I wish that they would just open that pool for FW.

I was little, but I remember those slides as SCARY! Fast, too. But River Country was the first place I ever went on a tube ride and I loved it.

Thanks for the news on the playgrounds. I know my kids will want to check them all out in April.

I was talking to a CM yesterday did you know River Country was the first water park in the world. River Country started it all WOW.

Thanks for posting the pictures of River Country. That is one place I didn't get to go to on Disney Property and wish I would have. As for Disney saying it would cost too much for them to fix it up, well we all know they can afford it!

I should not have looked at those pictures, I loved remembering the pool beautiful, cool and blue.......
This is really sad. Great pictures by the way, how did you get them, we tried to get to river country and everything was boarded up....

What are the plans for the sight were River Country was? We were at FW cabins the last week in July and had River Country been open it would have been great. FW was nice but that element that River Country had is needed.
