NEW Pirate Quest on Monday! *See Post 25 & 29!!*

Well I made a stop at WDW VMK Central and the pirate shop this morning. Nobody in VMK Central and neither of the 2 pirate shop cashiers I talked to said that they have heard anything about it.

There also is no in park Pirate Quest at the moment either.

Guess the people that said all this were lying then. Wonderful.

Before getting too harsh, remember that Cast Members are rarely in accord with giving out the same information. Those today may not have received up to date information or the one cited earlier may have been mistaken and mis-informed the party that first stated the rumor.

True. Of course, however, there is still the possibilty of the Pirates Quest coming tomorrow, but they are keeping hush-hush about it.

Only time will tell.

As has been reported, the pirate quest is not out yet. A discrete inquiry of the area manager gave me a definite wink as they said 'Check back tomorrow.' Hopefully it is true.

The CMs not knowing anything about this doesn't shock me. I bought a hat last month at the hat shop and asked for a Gold Mickey Ear card. Neither CM in the shop knew anything about VMK and told me they don't have such cards.

A CM at the Sir Mickey store wouldn't give me a VMK card when I bought a shirt because they were for kids only. Another CM overheard her, went to the other cash register and brought me a few cards.

When I bought our ride photo at Splash the CM looked at me like I was an idiot when I asked for the VMK cards. When I pointed out the VMK sign she told me you can no longer play the game.

I did get a handful of pennypress cards from the candy shop though!

So, from my experience of WDW and VMK, there seems to be more than one or two CMs that are not up to date on the game.

OK now I am on the monorail

so the reason I asked multiple cm's in multiple locations was just because they usually don't all have info but if you can get the same answer from multiple sources it at least has a better chance of being correct.

Ok, thanks. I am so glad you went and found out what was going on for us! I would think the area manager, if anyone, would be right. But you know how it sometimes can go.

We can just hope for the best!

I was referring to you actually posting a thread about a "rumor" you read on another fan site...I was just saying it is always better to wait for the facts than post rumors and stir up trouble like with the "new pirate hat thread"

No worries just something to remember when reading a rumor not based on hard facts.

Don't post until you can confirm without a shadow of a doubt that it is true.

Ohhh cool I can head to Florida was early as Tuesday. My sister just moved there and I was planing to go the first week in August to help her get unpacked her furniture is arriving this week sometime. She is 40 minutes from WDW and I planned to go to the MK and AK (got to ride Everest) at least one day maybe two. I can't be that close and not get my fix of the Mouse.

So I get to see my sister, another day at Disney AND hopefully new quest. How totally awesome! I just have to do the dreaded drive through the Carolinas!
