Hi everyone,
I have purchased 30 pins for my 2 son's to trade / share over our 2 week stay. My son's are 5 (celebrating his B'day ) and 3.
We have not done this before. I was thinking of giving them 1-2 a day to trade, as they are small and lanyards reach their knees.

is there anything i should look out for. They will obviously want to swap for characters they like - not looking for pin values etc.

Will all cast members trade?? and do we just ask?? can they say No they don't like our trading pin etc. I don't want to upset the boys by not knowing what to do!!

Michelle

if i think of any more questions i hope you all don't mind

Thank you in advance

Welcome to the wonderful world of Disney pin trading!:)

Are you staying at a Disney resort? If so, you might want to have your sons start their trading experience at the resort. The Cast Members generally have more time to trade and it would be a good first experience for them. Sometimes when trading at the theme parks, things can get hectic.

Your idea of doing 1-2 pins per day is a good idea. When my DS was younger, he'd lose interest in trading in a fairly short amount of time.

If you're planning on a trip to Downtown Disney, this is also another good location for CM trading, so long as it's not in the evening on a weekend. You might want to look out for Disney supervisors wearing lanyards (everywhere), they sometimes have some very nice pins.

Have fun!

look for cast member's wearing green lanyards the green ones are ones that kids only can trade with - as long as you have disney pins the cm's can't refuse to trade with you

Oh, cool
I didnt know what the different coloured lanyards meant, thanks!

Im going away on the 25th and I am going to DisneyLand and on the Mexican Riviera cruise. Im so excited to get back in the pin trading business!:cool1: It kindof sucks to be in Australia. Noone really likes disney or they arent realy that into it, so its great I get to go to the US heaps!
