New Passholder Preview Dates for FLE

When I could never get through last Monday to sign up online for the passholder preview of the new Fantasyland expansion, I sent Disney an email through their website. I know several others here did as well and we all got emails saying they were working on setting up additional opportunites.

Well, Disney called me today and set me up over the phone with a preview. He explained that for those people who sent an email to Disney, they wanted to get them signed up before offering it again to all passholders.

He said once the system goes live for signing up on these new times, they will input my information and I should get a confirmation email.

Just wanted to let everyone know that new dates are coming and if you didn't email Disney, you should still get an email from them in a few days alerting you to the sign up time.

FYI, I had a similar discussion with a CM yesterday who told me the additional dates but asked for my discretion in sharing them. This was supposedly to ensure those like you and me would get first shot at getting signed up for them. I noted all dates he mentioned, but I am not confirming nor denying the dates you list nor sharing with others until they become public. May I suggest you edit your OP to remove those dates for now? (No snark intended, I'm being genuine.) :goodvibes

The CM assured me they would be signing me up for a thus-far unadvertised date/time and itinerary (of my choosing) as well. Glad it looks like we have been taken care of. :thumbsup2

I did not think it would hurt to post dates since they are only doing this early registration for people who sent emails. I really only posted the dates to give everyone a heads up on what dates would be open since so many people were disappointed.

I'm not sure we're actually registered yet, as I haven't gotten a confirmation email. I'm thinking it won't show until after registration opens again. :confused3
 

so those of us who couldnt get in but didnt run off to send an email in anger dont count?
 
Yes, they seem to be making a solid effort. The CM kept apologizing on the phone and even used some of the phrases I wrote in my email. She admitted the preview sign up was not one of their shining moments. I really didn't expect anything. I just wanted to send them an email so that maybe next time they would have a better system in place.

The CM said as soon as the system opened for everyone to sign up, they would get us registered and we would then get an email. That is the only part that makes me nervous, but I have high hopes that they can get into their own system even when I tried for 3 hours and couldn't! :rolleyes:

My email wasn't in anger and I wasn't rude about it. I didn't even run off to send it....I was on their website for three hours trying to sign up and the "contact us" link was right there. :rotfl2:

There's no need to assume I did anything in anger. I emailed them because if no one says they are unhappy about how something was handled then the company wouldn't have a chance to make it right. All my email said was that I was disappointed and I hoped that for the next passholder preview sign up things would go smoother.

And of course you count. Disney emailed all passholders originally stating they were working on new dates to accomodate more people. They contacted all passholders before then answering those who emailed.
 
yeah i aware and im not saying any of you have any control over this, but i dont think its right that disney is going out of their way to help those who went and emailed over frustration and anger (because we were all frustrated and angry) to insure they were taken care of first while those of us who had done the same 3 hours wait as well as making sure i was by the computer for the first "sign up" date as well as the second and both times ect. the whole thing is a mess, but to take care of those that sent an email first is not fair to the rest of us.

I guess we have to agree to disagree. I feel that Disney is trying to take care of everyone by setting up new dates and times which will be posted for all. Again, I did not contact Disney out of anger or expect anything from them at all. I guess a good lesson to learn here is that next time if you are really so unhappy, then email them yourself. I understand you feel we are being given an advantage, but Disney is apparently a company that goes out of its way to make sure their guests are satisfied. I believe a lot of people emailed them and they had to come up with some way to satisfy them. Many people may have written more stern emails and would not be appeased with simply new dates being released and told to try again.
 
I must has gotten lucky. I tried ONE time at just after 8:00 PM and got exactly what I wanted.

I guess if you didn't in you should now write angry email to guarantee a slot? That seems a little crazy to me.

i understand what you are saying and im not saying you wrote a nasty email or anything like that, im sure you didnt as did others. shortly after the whole mess disney came out and said there would be new dates ect, so at that point there was no reason for anyone else to come out and email. so then to go ahead and take care of the squeeky wheel first rather than just taking care of the entire passholder community at the same time isnt right.

I can't speak for everyone, but my email was not angry and I didn't expect anything from Disney. I merely wanted to let them know that it was very frustrating to try at noon on one Monday, then at noon the next Monday, and then again at 6pm that Monday because Disney was having problems on their end. I simply suggested maybe for the next passholder preview they could come up with a new system.

Yea I see your point with that. Glad we can keep it friendly since we are neighbors! I grew up in Brandon and now live in Dade City. Hope you are able to sign up for the preview. My husband and I saw a lot of the new area on 10/16 but for the passholder preview I am taking my mom for her birthday.

I would have shared the dates had the CM not asked me to keep them close to the vest, and I decided to honor that. And Cheryllynn is under no obligation to listen to me either. She is of course free to do as she pleases, especially since her CM didn't make the same request.
 
I just think this is setting a really bad precident.

The fact that they are asking peoe not to talk about it also leaves a very bad taste in my mouth. I'm not bitter at all either - I got my slot. It just seems in very poor taste to put passholders in the position of "we will do this but don't tell anyone". Doesn't that just feel like they are doing something wrong?

If they are pre signing people up then what difference does it make if you give the dates out? All the people that fussed will already have their slot. Right?

The whole thing just comes off cheap - and I expect more from WDW.

yeah why wouldnt it be friendly? haha its not your fault i'm angry with disney about the issue no one else lol..

its good that youll get in, ive thought about going up and trying to hit one of the soft openings, ive gone to a number of them for other things in the past but they are hard to predict. my plan was to go up to orlando for food and wine and such but hit the preview on the side (two birds with one stone) but not knowing the new dates that impossible to plan for.
