New Passholder Preview Dates for FLE

I just think this is setting a really bad precident.

The fact that they are asking peoe not to talk about it also leaves a very bad taste in my mouth. I'm not bitter at all either - I got my slot. It just seems in very poor taste to put passholders in the position of "we will do this but don't tell anyone". Doesn't that just feel like they are doing something wrong?

If they are pre signing people up then what difference does it make if you give the dates out? All the people that fussed will already have their slot. Right?

The whole thing just comes off cheap - and I expect more from WDW.

thank you that was the point i was getting at, i mean thats not the people who are getting the benfits fault at all but its kind of in poor taste.

Would someone kindly repost the new preview dates. It would be very helpful to those who haven't sent an email and are trying to plan. The secrecy is kind of silly.

Yes, what is going on with this?
I leave for WDW on Sunday. Could never get through.............didn't send an e-mail though.
I did receive one that said new dates were coming, but haven't heard anything else.

shhhh it's a secret!

How foolish of Disney! Shame on them.

If you did not send an e-mail they have no way of knowing you spent 3 hours trying to get a time.
As far as keeping the dates secret for now we all know that things can and many times do change. Perhaps they do not want times to be released until the are "official". How upset would you be if the times were out there and you made your plans and then when the times were released they were the day before you got there or the day after you left?

Well let's say everyone was here saying can't get in...blah, blah, blah right? Then Disney says "Sorry. We will be releasing additional dates at a later time."

So they already know there is a problem and are going to resolve it. How many people continue to write emails? At that point you figure... ah great! I will get a date the next time.

Then you find out later (much too late) that all those that did write an email are getting not only priority choices BUT advanced knowledge of the dates and are told to keep them secret?

Shady. Since they are preregistering the mad emailers... I doubt the dates will change.

The extra preview dates people are being told on the phone are 11/6-8.. I think its ridiculous to be keeping this a secret on a disney board because a CM told you shhhh its a secret :rolleyes1

Sorry folks, but when I am asked to keep something in confidence and agree, then I keep it in confidence. I agreed because the CM's explanation seemed sound.

Disney opted to ensure they took care of those who took the two minutes necessary to contact them after a long, frustrating, and disappointing experience. They will attempt to take care of everyone else eligible in due course. I truly hope it isn't the disaster it was the first time around.

Call me corny and old-fashioned and secretive and naive if you like, but I call it a personal code. Continue to flame away.

FYI, I had a similar discussion with a CM yesterday who told me the additional dates but asked for my discretion in sharing them. This was supposedly to ensure those like you and me would get first shot at getting signed up for them. I noted all dates he mentioned, but I am not confirming nor denying the dates you list nor sharing with others until they become public. May I suggest you edit your OP to remove those dates for now? (No snark intended, I'm being genuine.) :goodvibes

The CM assured me they would be signing me up for a thus-far unadvertised date/time and itinerary (of my choosing) as well. Glad it looks like we have been taken care of. :thumbsup2

You don't have to give any particulars but are any of the dates between 10/31 and 11/3. My DH, DS and I will be there at that time. I tried to sign up numerous times for over an hour but kept getting the message that the site was busy. I didn't email Disney about the problems I had so I am out of luck as far as getting signed up before the dates are released.

Thanks.

No flame at all I understand the position you took:goodvibes

I just also feel that with the craziness that has become FLE, previews, soft opens, CM/AP/DVC/D23 dates etc etc etc that whatever info can be had by families trying to plan for the next few weeks is beneficial. Whether it be those trying to secure (once again:headache:) a preview reservation or those thinking that nothing is going on those dates and that GP openings may occur.

Disney is a corporation doing business to make a profit and yes part of that business is making their customers happy. The message boards are fellow fans helping each other for no reason other than the benefit, knowledge and support we give each to each other. :grouphug:

With that said I hope you didnt take my post personally :flower3:

Again, the dates being told are 11/6-8

ETA: GP openings continue to be reported as occurring during the parties :thumbsup2

Everyone handles confidential information differently, but IME, the best way to avoid being badgered about what you know and don't feel you can share is to not admit that you know it in the first place.

Conveniently enough, I can put the whole FLE passholder preview out of my mind now, because I won't be in Florida for the new dates.

No. But I have so far noticed in this thread "silly", "ridiculous", and by implication I am "not nice" and a "mad e-mailer". I can take it. :goodvibes

I offered as much information as I could while being as helpful as I could to the Disney community as a whole. I take some pride in trying to be helpful to all, but in this case I've been asked to not share a certain piece of info.

Thanks. I was hoping there would be something while we were there.

I hope this is true for all who want it. If Disney was correct with their public apology last week, then we should all know in the next day or two and I can go back to being 99% helpful instead of 98%. ;)

Touche and well put ;)

BTW I do enjoy reading your posts:)

I also got a call (we made a call because our Premier Passport was not an option when the online registration went live.)

Anyway, I also received a call from Disney and was rescheduled into a new date. Here is my question - for those of you that received the phone call and were given a new date: Have you received the follow-up email confirmation? I was given no confirmation, and was assured that I would get an email with confirmation information. That was Monday - still no email....

The scary part to me is that we DID get through the original day, late into the night, via phone, and WERE given preview times. We didn't get the promised email confirmation then either, which is what prompted the follow-up call...

What the heck 11/6! Now I am upset. That was the day I was hoping to get in for the general public. Now there is no hope for me. So sad.

Dates I've seen around are November 8 (9:30-1:00 am being one of the spots), 11/9, 11/12, and some later dates. Not sure because I didn't get a call because I reserved a spot the first time (November 11, 12:30). It seems like the new spots are all weekdays.

I'm not sure I want to go anymore, though, I am debating it. I took a day trip last week because I just couldn't wait any longer and saw everything except the Be Our Guest Restaurant. As an AP holder, I KNOW I'll be back this year when everything is completely open, so I'm not sure making a special trip on 11/11 is worth it if everything won't really be open, and they're not doing anything special.

I've heard the castmembers are having lunch during their previews, but I haven't heard anything like that for AP previews.
