New Party this summer?

Any word as to whether there will be a member party this summer? We did summer on the savannah last year and really enjoyed it. We're hoping they do another party.

I called DVC a few minutes ago. I was told that there will be a party again this year. She didn't mention what it would be called, but it will again be outside of Epcot at the Internation Gateway. It will be held rain or shine on Thursdays from 3 - 5 PM beginning on July 12. It is to run 7 consecutive weeks I sure hope the info that I got is correct. We will be able to make at least one of the parties

So did my SIL. While we walked in we were each handed a coupon book, but when SIL walked in the CM handed him a handful of them (probably 6 books), so there were lots of icecream bars being eaten that afternoon. We will be there on August 14th, so hope there will be a party on that day!

Well, if they are starting June 12 and going for 7 weeks we won't get to go to one because they will stop in July. We were hoping to be able to go to one in August!

The information that she gave me said July 12, running into August. Obviously she did not give me correct info. I'm thinking that she pulled up last years party info. I didn't have a calendar in front of me at the time, but looking now, July 12 was a Thursday LAST year. I'll call back tomorrow and see if I can get more accurate info. She really got my hopes up too

I did not see anything in the new Disney Mag I got today, but I did not read it thoroughly yet. I would think it would be posted on the DVC site but I do not see anything there yet either.

Oh, man!!! Our last day is July 4th I loved that party last year!

I hope the date was wrong. We leave July 5th and I was looking forward to going but if I remember correctly last years didn't start until later in the summer.

I'm disappointed, I was looking forward to attending the party this summer, unfortunately our departed date is on Thursday, Aug 7th. I guess we won't be able to make it.

I always find it interesting how many different stories you get when you call anyone at Disney....

I was just told by MS that there were "NO" parties of any kind this year scheduled. She said if there were, they would have already told the staff.



I will be there in 2 weeks....I'll get the scoop in person

I called this morning and was told that they don't know of any at this time other than Welcome Home Wednesdays, but she thought that they were planning something No dates and no information.
