OK, at the meeting last night, the city and Disney has stated with the changes requested by the non-Disney businesses on Harbor, Disney will have to go back and amend their request, and then resubmit it. Then the city has said they will give 30 days notice minimum for when a hearing would be held.
Solets say Disney submits the revised plan in February, the hearing, where the project might get approved, or might have to revise it again won't happen until March.
So right now, Disney can continue with the demolition of the Carousel, and get the entire area to grade, but can't build anything until the city approves it. (and if the Planning Commission approves it,there is still an appeal process, and the City Council can also get involved).
Now, Disney wants/needs this new Eastern Gateway to open prior to Star Wars Land just due to crowd logistics. So when they can finally get started (May???), they will be adding crews and length of time per day they will work on the project, though they will have some noise limits imposed by the city.
Sorry but, yes, Construction will be in full swing, both on the new Parking Structure and Security Check areas behind the Harbor Hotel/Motels, and the actual bridge.
