New Paddock Pool ?

I hope that the food selection at the new Paddock is better than the Artist Palette. Maybe will will also be quicker to get food too.

It is supposed to be different. More hamburgers and hot dogs, I believe.

Opening dates I got from staff was anywhere from late May to July 4th.

As for distance, the Paddocks pool is directly across the bridge from the Springs. Not a bad location. Adds make a couple extra minutes to your walk.

If you were going to DTD, I'd take either the ferry or walkway to West Side from this area. It's a shorter distance. Unless you just want to go to Marketplace. In that case, you take the ferry or walk via Congress Park.

The Paddocks pool will be most convenient to those in the Carousel, Paddocks (buildings nearest Springs) and the Springs. Grandstand folks may find it too much of a trek. Congress Park folks and that far distant section of Paddocks may prefer the Congress Park quiet pool.

It really all depends on your walking stamina. My chair can easily stroll all of SSR without it feeling long so it's hard for me to judge.

Looks like you've been taking lessons from some of the people on the camping thread. They have an uncanny ability to get the goods. I wish Dumbo was still on this board to see what he has to say about the improvements to SSR over that last couple of years. He seemed to be coming around a little prior to his departure. I for one am a huge fan of this addition. SSR is really coming into its own and I'm glad.

Thanks so much for the pictures of the mudhole!! I was on google earth trying to figure out which was a longer walk the middle Grandstand building to HRS or the Paddocks to HRS and they are just about equal. Depending on which building you get of course. I definitely think that when we go in October if we end of at SSR I will be requesting the Paddocks

I'd love for it to be done by the 4th of July as we'll be at SSR on the 13th. I wasn't thinking it would be as the I think I read somewhere they were estimating sometime in the Fall for completion. Anyway, it'll be a great addition.

Hi all, we are staying at SS in the 3rd week of August. When we booked our trip we were told that the new pool is scheduled to be open by July 1st. From your past experience do you think this is believable? We are just worried about it being a construction site when we get there....but then again it would be great to be some of the first ones to use the pool if it is done. Was just curious of what you all thought. Thanks.

Disney has successfully managed many construction projects and I'm sure they build in penalties to keep contractors schedules in line.
I am not aware of them missing official published opening dates, but I do wonder about how valid verbal dates from a CM may be..
