Just saw the new package info on mousesavers! It's says that's it is now available. The code is YRE for Magic Your Way pkg. and YRD for Magic Your Way plus Dining. The package must be booked by 12/18/05.

ANyone getting anything? My TA (AAA) is out to lunch...literally & figuratively!

I don't see anything new, just the original special where the park hopper and water park options are included for free with the purchase of a base ticket. Am I missing something?

It did say there was a little addt'l savings other than just the hopper/water park features.

Yes, it did. The savings were what one might charitably call "modest": it looks like 10% off of the room rate to me---about $90 savings, over seven nights, and subtracting tax, is about $11.50 off of the base room rate per night.

If you want neither hopping nor plus options, AAA would be a better deal.

I just got off the phone with Disney. Quoted me $1895.77. That beats my AAA by $39.94. Of course I would now get hopper pluses, where as before I was only getting hoppers. Still, not as great as I had hoped.

Just FYI, when I called on saturday I was told I had a PIN attached (for upgrade to hoppers & plus) and was quoted $2018.67, so this new price is $122.90 cheaper.

The original price I got from disneyworld.com with no discounts of any kind was $2121.71 (including hoppers without the plus option).

Correction: I was basing my 10% claim on Peak season rates, not value season. The discount probably is at least competitive with AAA, even without hopping etc.

lame lame lame lame lame. see my post in Jan 2006 code watch. There will be more.
You don't think this is the discount on MYW packages you spoke of in the other thread, just released early? Have you since talked to your TA to see if this is it?

"7 nights at Pop Century, 2 adults, Value season, with 10 day tickets including Park Hopper, Water Park Fun & More and No Expiration. With this package, $1170.62. Regular price, $1430.26. You would save $259.64. The added cost of the Park Hopper and Water Park Fun & More for two people would normally be $170.40 including tax, so there is an additional savings of $89.24 included in this sample package."

This isn't a very good deal.

Look at it this way - Two adult 10 day MYW passes with park hopper/plus/no expiration costs $377 each - That's a total of $754. So, basically, you're paying $416 for 7 nights at Pop Century, which comes out to about $59 a night.

You could buy an AP, for $23 more, and pay $388 for 7 nights at Pop Century. For this trip, it works out pretty much the same, however, with the AP, you'd have the tickets for an entire year, not just an additional 3 days.

It makes no sense for 2 people - Even less for 1.

The room is discounted. I previously had Pop booked for 7 nights at the AAA rate and was going to buy my 7 day hoppers from Ticketmania which is 10.00 cheaper each than Disney's or AAA's ticket prices. (total 952.00 for 2 adults)

This new package is costing me the same and I get the water park and more option free and the option of adding the dining plan. Not to mention the Planet Hollywwod meal voucher which we may use.

So if you were going to hop anyway, this beats the AAA room discount at least at POP. We are paying 952.00 for 7nights, 7 day MYW tix with hopper and water parks and more. It seems to be identical to the pin code that was sent out in emails earlier.

boomhauer- that quote included the no expiration option. if you dont want that- take off 200.00 from that quote.

I just realized that an edited my post. It works out evenly pretty much for this trip - But if you take 1 more trip within a years time or if there's any chance of doing so, it makes much more sense to buy the AP.

Not to mention, you'll get the AP rate for the next trip, PLUS you save on dining and souveniers.

OK, so then the tickets would be $534 (2 adults.)

Then you're paying $436 for the 7 nights at Pop.

But again, you could pay $400 for an AP, $388 for 7 nights at a Value, and then, an additional $237 for 1 more adult MYW 7 day = $1,025.

So, it's an additional $55 - But you'd have the AP for 1 person for an entire year.

It's all a numbers game.

If this is the additonal savings my TA was talking about I am going to be dissapointed. My parents went with a free dining package plus overall package discount in Aug. That's what I call a "package special."

August was in the middle of hurricane season, a "package special" was needed to draw extra people, especially after the previous year.

I just priced my vacation out on the disney website with no discounts (to include hopping with plus & dining. With the discount it is a savings of $373.21

Of course, I am not really interested in the plus option...not something I would get if it weren't part of the promotion. But, when you look at it that way, the savings is decent. Good for those who don't want an AP or don't belong to AAA.

I don't see anyplace online to book it with a code. I called.

Was it better than AAA? if so by how much?

I'm on the phone right now and the CM is clueless about this. She can back with a rate of $30 less. I was paying full rake rate. I going to hang up and call back.
