New owner of a 2010 DVC BLT that gets 220 pts to the Year!

So maybe it's strange to think of your first DVC purchase along the lines of a buying a new vehicle, but it works for me ...

After years of thinking about it, months of seriously researching it, and weeks of debating "now or later, just how many points, etc.", I've taken the plunge and bought in at BLT!

Thanks to everyone on these boards for taking the time to answer my questions and share your various opinions and experiences. Because of all I have learned here, I felt like I have made a very informed purchase.

We're planning our first trip home for October 2011. It'll be our first time experiencing WDW in the fall ... we can't wait to see the parks dressed in their "fall colours" and to experience MNSSHP.

This was us a year ago, and yes we bought into BLT and in 22 days we will be coming Home for the First Time. And yes to MNSSHP on the 21st.

It's kinda funny ... the car analogy is what tipped my dad firmly into being in favour of my purchase. (Due to poor vision, I am unable to obtain a driver's license and so have never had the experience of buying my "first car" - I'm quite happy to have gone this route instead!)

As for the TotWL, I can't wait to see any fireworks show from up there!

I love the MK too and between the monorail and walking path, the location at BLT can't be beat!

Congrats on the add-on Sandi! I know that you replied to many of my posts over the past few months and your opinions have been very much appreciated. We opted for an August UY instead of July b/c it will allow for March Break trips that if cancelled in time can then lead to banked points - and if not cancelled in time, we still allow us to plan a July holiday to use them up.

We loved WDW in early December and hope that the fall/Halloween stuff is just as great!

BLT is my favorite location

For right now, especially with my sister's young family, BLT's location couldn't be better for us. That said, we do plan to try out some other DVC resorts eventually - AKV, VWL, BCV for sure at WDW, definitely Aulanie, and maybe VB, HH and VGC.
