New Owner First Trip

Just became an owner at BCV. Tried to book a 2Br at my home resort, but it wasnt available due to the busy F&W time. It's ok, I wasnt expecting it and I was just 7 mo. out. Surprisingly, we were able to book an 8 day BLT w/Bay View.

So I went on two waitlists, one for the first 4 days and one for the second 4 days at BCV with the terms that if one waitlist comes through to cancel the other. I have never stayed at either my home resort before or BLT, so either way, we are so excited....

love BLT - also love BCV.

but love BLT - walking to the MK is very nice!

with BCV you can walk to Epcot and take the boat to Studios (you can walk to studios - but it is a long walk)

with BLT you can walk to the MK and take the monrail to Epcot.

so you can still do the f/w at Epcot. the Halloween party at MK is happening you might go for that too.

since you are staying at BLT - one night go up to the 'top of world' lounge - to see the firewords and enjoy the others DVCers who will be there.

oh would get a backup reservation at OKW or SSr just incase your request is not meet. not all waitlist comes thru.

Welcome Home and Congratulations from Mickey, Goofy, and Me! I own at BLT and love it. As you can see from my sig I will be staying at BWV this July which will give me an experience of the BCV/BWV area. I think I'll love it as much as BLT. I hope you can get to experience both of these wonderful resorts (BCV & BLT) on your first trip home. How great would that be!

You are absolutely right. I know about the F&W, but it will be my first time. I heard about the Halloween Party and want to find out more about it. Seems like a very interesting time to go to the World!

By the way, in case the BCV doesnt come through, I may just stay at BLT for the entire stay, Nothing against OKW or SSR, but I wanted to stay at a resort within walking distance to a park.

Hopefully you love the BCV/BWV area. It would be great to experience both resorts. But I guess even if the waitlist doesnt come through, I will be more than happy with BLT. And I still have plenty of time to experience all the other great resorts!!! DVC is great!!! But October is a loooong wait!!!

I was talking about it with the guys from my firehouse today - we had a Easter Egg hunt for the kids. First reaction was similar to mine - Timeshare, But after a few minutes I think I sold a few of my friends to the idea.
