New Osbourne Lights a big thumbs down

TravelToo - defintiely go see it! We had never seen them before this year and we loved it. It was fun and over the top and just a nice holiday thing to do!

Let me put this as mildly as I can, a disappointment is a compliment. They were dreadful.

I've seen them in years past and I don't think it was soooo bad this year. I lot of burnt out bulbs or things just not lit when we went on Dec 9. My family who hadn't seen it before, enjoyed it and no lense cover damage for me!

Yes I forgot to mention there were alot of burned out bulbs especially around the angels. I would estimate 1/4 of the angels were either partially or completely burned out.

If you haven't seen it by all means take a look. There seems to be quite a few first timers who enjoyed it. We have been going for years and have really enjoyed the residentual feel to the old display. More creativity could have been used even in the new arrangement but it was not. Even with the old set up we very rarely dealt with overbearing crowds because we went later in the evening after the crowds had dissipated. No glasses either.

I have seen the old version with the houses and it was pretty. I also liked the snow effect and the music as we walked down the houses street. I would think that without those houses it would not be as pretty.

I am from Arkansas and actually live less than a mile from Mr. Jennings Osborne himself. I have to say that as beautiful as the lights are, we Arkansans are glad he has "redistributed" his lights elsewhere. Traffic used to be backed up for miles for people driving past his house.

I think it is a really neat idea for MGM.

This years version is better than last years(no lights). I have only been twice this year. Does anyone know if they are giving out the 3-d glasses this year?
