I love how this city has songs dedicated to our SUPERBOWL XLIV BOUND SAINTS!!!!!! And, unlike other teams (the one other team that has a song), we actually have good songs. WHO DAT!

WHO DAT!!!!!! Going to the Super Bowl Baby!!!!! GEAUX SAINTS!!!!!!!!!!!

Here are some designs I made for t-shirts................ feel to take them and wear them proud in Miami!!!!!!!! :cheer2:

WHO DAT? WHO DAT? GEAUX SAINTS!

That we are. No leave us alone and let us eat our King cake in peace, please.

no where's the fun in that!?!!? :rotfl2:

I know that 'aints fans aren't used to playing in a SB, but this back and forth is what you do to pass the time during the 2 VERY long weeks before the game.

That said, I do like a good King cake though....

Not at all.:) Speaking of King cake, I recently bought an issue of Taste of the South magazine. They had a recipe for Randazzo's King cake. I was all ready to make it when I saw another recipe on the next page. It called for a tube of cinnamon rolls and colored sugar. Considering that I am a terrible baker, I think I'd be better off with that one!

The last time I tried to make King cake from scratch was IN New Orleans, pre-Katrina, and it was very dense and took all day. I think I'll try the cinnamon roll recipe. Good choice, no?

Now, if only I could get good raw oysters where Ilive now I'd be good. Oh, and French bread wouldn't hurt, either. The bread up here is GROSS.

I've only had them a couple of times, and it's been a few years so I cant tell you which one you should make but it might help pass the time until the game.

I use to have co-workers from New Orleans and they brought one up for a meeting during Mardi Gras. Us 'Northerners' didnt know what this strange purple/green cake was, so needless to say the person that got the trinket in the cake was a bit surprised...as the New Orleans people didnt tell us there might be a prize inside a piece.

Those look awesome!!!

I would love to make magnets out of these for our Disney cruise Mardi Gras week- I hope that's Ok!!! They are precious and I need to "Who Dat" our cabin door! Thank you!

I make the cinnamon rolls king cake with my 1st graders- very easy and they love it!

Actually that isnt a bad idea!
Post recipe please!
I made a king cake from scratch last week, not bad, considering I never have baked before in my life lol, and I want to try again .

Just wanted to post that we live in Thibodaux, about 1 hour from NOLA. The excitement here was wonderul to see I went to the grocery store and people were high fiving and saying "Saints". Men were talking in groups-looked like Mayberry RFD. The women were giddy. Everyone was smiling and laughing.
The last time I saw people talking in groups like that was after Katrina and everyone was crying.
