New or Rare characters

Not sure if this will still be the case in Sept but for anyone coming soon we scored this week on characters! Still here in the world, and last night and tonight we went to studios and were in animation station (where incredibles and sorcerer mickey are). Yesterday to see Bolt and Rhino (who are done they tell me today), and all of a sudden, out comes Prince John, Goofy, Friar Tuck, Jasmine and Aladdin! Prince John my son has never seen so he was happy. We were ready to head out at abouy 5:25 talking about the surprise characters and someone said 5 new ones were coming out at 5:30 so we waited. And out comes Jafar, Meeko and Gov Ratcliffe,Chip and Dale, Minnie and Pluto. They said they are unadvertised sets and if they have them they are at 5 and maybe 5:30. Apparently they are training - someone - I think it was Pluto asked out loud what my son was handing him (my son mentioned this to me but I don't think he realized it wasn't a dog talking, even at 8 yrs. old).

We went back today at 5 to reward our son for trying RNR and we saw Pinocchio, Jafar, Ratcliffe, Friar Tuck, Sheriff of Nottingham and Prince John (together). At 5:30 it was The Queen (yeah!), Meeko and Pocohontos, Gov. Ratcliffe, Jasmine and Aladdin.

missesdisney, we were there friday between 5pm and 5:30 and saw prince john, etc. as well! it's interesting what you say about "training." i'm sure i don't know what that means...why would prince john need training on how to be prince john? still, i can understand why there might be that "confusion." i asked prince john, "how is your mommy?" and he gave me a big thumbs up sign and nodded his head as if everything were well. if you're familiar with the movie, you might have expected--as i did--him to grab his ear and start sucking his thumb....

We met Jiminy on the porch of the camera shop that's just inside the entrance of the Magic Kingdom. He's so cute and lime green!

Really? Looks like we will have to check out that spot every time we go to Epcot on our next trip just to see if there are different characters. When we went last year we saw the usuals, Mickey, Minnie, Goofy etc. We also saw Marie, Bell and Stitch.



We saw her in the Character Spot Innovations in Epcot, she is really soft and cute, with a sleepy look.

No. Marie is the only one of the Aristocats that appears in the parks.

I saw Friar Tuck, Prince John, Sheriff of Nottingham, Jafar, and the Snow Queen all in the Animation Building at Hollywood Studios this past week.

I saw Kenai and Koda in Camp Minnie-Mickey at the Animal Kingdom.

I saw Marie behind Club Cool at EPCOT.

I think those are pretty rare! Good luck to all of you character hunters! FYI: I had the most luck in the Animation Building around 5:00 and after.

Argh! I asked about Marie at Epcot just last week because dd loves her (and had her Marie shirt on) and I was told Marie isn't in the park anymore. I have learned it doesn't always help to ask CM's questions.

Only during special events. I know he did for P&P. Not sure if he does for mnsshp and mvmcp.

When we visited last year we came across Goofy and son Max. I think Max is quite rare as he is mostly seen in Disneyland.

I was also wondering about Roger, my daughter keeps watching those old Disney Sing Alongs and Roger is in it. She keeps telling me how cute he is and how she wants to meet him when she goes. But, I can't remember the last time I saw him hanging around.

I wish Wall-E was there. It is even tough to find Wall-E products there for souvenirs. My son (who is 8 and has autism) is a huge wall-E fan. He draws him, makes his own movies etc. When I went just with my daughter she wanted to bring him home something Wall-E and it was even slim pickin's for the souvenirs.

We want Wall-E, and Eve!

I have heard that they do this on NON-FANTASMIC days only. I would LOVE to be there to see some of these characters! Other than stories of these character sets, all I have ever found at DHS are classic Disney characters. We saw the Bolt characters there last Dec, but my daughter hadn't seen the movie yet and didn't want to wait. Now that we've seen it, I wish we had waited!

I have the cutest picture of my sister and I with Prince John and we're all sucking our thumb and grabbing our ear. It is my absolute favorite picture from our last trip!!!
