If the idea was to allow players to charge a small fee to play a quest, why didn't they just add that feature to the quest kiosk itself? I would suggest charging the credits when the person completes the quest to prevent people from being charged for impossible quests or quests being terminated early. If a person didn't have enough credits at the end of the quest, they would have to go earn the credits and pay before receiving their prizes. The quest time could be determined by either the time they completed the last task or the time they paid. I'd prefer the former but the latter would probably be easier to implement. Another option would be to put the credits in "escrow" (like they do when you join a pirates game) but not actually take them until you have finished the quest.

That would prevent just about all of the negative possibilities listed here.

I understand charging for a quest and would consider paying for a quest with amazing prizes. I have no inclination to pay to play a guest game, pay to enter a cafe or pay to enter any other guest room.

I love the new turnstiles and hope to buy some but when I use them I expect to charge zero credits.

Hmm.. but did you notice it did not say if you get the credits when you charge? Maybe you charge for your rooms, but the credits from people entering won't go to you, but to VMK. (where all credits go when you buy things)

This might be true, but then why in the world would we even want to get them then? After all, what use will they be then, but for people to pay a hardearned fee just to get in a room?

Anyways, I don't think I'll use them often: Who would want to go into my rooms?

Here would be my idea for that: if they are booted after going through, they get a complete refundx2 because they had to go through the hassle.
