Can't wait!!!!!!

We will be at Contemporary the 14th-the 20th! I wish i was staying as long as you all are!! Will you be in the main building or the garden wing? We've got garden wing rooms :)

I'm having a hard time waiting until September. Would I be too crazy to go in June (this year) as well? My family says I am, but my husband is all for it. What are your thoughts? I saw Disney just posted new prices for June, so I would be getting a discount and we get military perks as well. Am I crazy??:confused3

This is our 1st time at the Contemporary, so we're excited! (Since our younger DS will be 3, we no longer fit in the WL or the CBR where we've stayed in the past.)

We originally reserved a garden wing room, but we couldn't get free dining in the garden wing. So we upgraded to the Tower (Bay Lake side) to get free dining. You know - Disney math! :thumbsup2

You're not crazy at all, but I would just think about it before taking the plunge. Personally, I think June and September trips are really close to one another and may not be the best use of two vacations? For us, as hard as the wait is, that's what makes it fun! We build up so much anticipation, we have a blast on our vacation, and then we do it all over again the next year. Plus, instead of using money for a second vacation, maybe that money could be used to sweeten the one vacation or to ensure a vacation for the following year or maybe a cruise? Disney loves impulse vacationers, but it's the careful planner who gets to enjoy Disney vacations year after year!

After sadly having to cancel our trip, dh and i discussed it last night and we will be going sept 22-29!! woo hoo! im a little bummed that i missed the 180 day mark, worried i wont get the restaurants i want, but hey... we're going to disney!!

I wouldn't worry too much about missing the 180 mark. If there are certain ressies your after just keep trying them. If your a little flexible on times that might increase your chances. We haven't booked many at all. Last year we went during October and had no problems walking up to some restuarants. Been told to expect the same during Sept. Also last year we didn't really know about the 180 mark and started making ressies around the 100 day mark and got a few good ones. Good luck x

We will be at AKL (Savannah view!!! first time at AKL!) from 9/6-9/13.

So happy to see and join in on this thread! We are arriving 9/29 and staying through 10/5. We were planning an all October trip but free dining persuaded us to bump up our trip. We're staying at POP! and upgraded to Deluxe Dining. DH says eating is half the fun of his vacation and he gets more excited about ADR's than anything else!

We'll be celebrating our daughter's first trip to WDW and her 1st birthday. It's also our 13th anniversary. Here are our ADR's:

9/29 Dinner at Chef Mickey's
9/30 Breakfast at Rainforest Cafe
Lunch at Saana
Dinner at The Wave
MNSSHP
10/1 Breakfast at Hollywood & Vine
Lunch at Mama Melrose's
Dinner at Sci-Fi
Fantasmic! Dining Package
10/2 Breakfast at Crystal Palace
Lunch at The Plaza
Dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern
10/3 Breakfast at Akershus
Lunch at San Angel
Dinner at Garden Grill
10/4 Breakfast at Cape May

Thanks! :goodvibes the only one im having trouble with is 9/23 since its emh at mk, and we are trying to find a ts restaurant at mk or on the monorail circuit. seems like everythings booked. oh well! looks like we'll be doing cs!

I noticed that a lot of people are staying at Port Orlens French Quarter. I am considering staying here if my husband and I go w/o the kids. Can anyone tell me why they like it so much? I want to be super excited, but I'm a bit bummed about staying off the monorail if we do stay there. Any perks to help rev me up would be appreciated!! :)
