My firsts this trip:

Fantasmic
BOG
BBB
1900 Parkfare dinner
'Ohanna or Luau
Staying at POR
Using Best Friends Pet Resort on Disney property

Is that for the Photo Pass or the Photo Pass+??

Either way, yes. You get a card that the CM photographers will put your pictures onto. You can check the pictures anytime (but once you register the card your 30 day window starts). With the PP+ you can also put ride photos/dining photos on there that you would normally have to purchase separately with the regular PP.

When you get home, edit your photos and order your CD (which you have already paid for when you preorder the PP/PP+). I believe the PP+ also comes with an extra CD of stock photos from Disney.

PP was well worth it for us last year and I'll be doing the PP+ this year. ONE photo package at the dining locations or ride is about $15. Definitely saves me some $$!

I just preordered the regular photopass CD, and my email confirmation said for me to get a card from the photopass photographers on our trip, bought I thought I'd be getting something in the mail. Or is that only with the PP+ ?

Am I the only one who is worried about crowds? The more I read the more I am nervous. The reason I picked the 1st week of Feb cause it looked the best, now I am second guessing my decision. Should I have booked the last week of January?

When should I place my Walmart order? Starting to freak about packing and all that. My husband says I can't get the suitcases out until a week before the trip!

Great question!! I leave two weeks from tonight... Checkin on the 31st & I was thinking tomorrow would be a good day to do a Walmart order. Anyone know?

Also my list has: case of water, 2- 12 packs of Gatorade, bag of pretzels, box of cereal, pop tarts, granola bars, juice. We will get milk at the resort and I'll bring plastic spoons & bowls. Our plan is to have our breakfasts in the room each day. Any other suggestions??

I hope not because I am going the first week too! While the crowds may not be as low as we hoped, it surely can't be as bad as summer & I'm guessing not nearly as hot either! :thumbsup2 I'm more nervous about one of us getting sick, lol. I've gone crazy packing a pharmacy to take along :rotfl:

i'm worried about the crowds, weather, and getting sick. i seriously think i'm getting an ulcer from all this stress. that's a thing right? lol

If you are getting regular photopass, then you can just use the cards that any of the PP photographers give you. If you are getting PP+ then you have to wait for the voucher that comes in the mail.

So I was just curious..... What new things y'all are trying this trip?????

We haven't been to Disney World in 15 years as a family so there's plenty of firsts! Some for all, some just for them and a couple for me since I was there four years ago....

All...
- New Fantasyland, Kali River Rapids, Toy Story Mania and the Safari
- Celebrating one or more birthdays
- 'Ohana / 50's Prime Time meals
- Actively 'character hunting' for pictures
Them...
- Staying on site
- Using Disney transportation / Magical Express
- Animal Kingdom
- Test Track, Soarin', Mission to Mars, Fantasmic!, Philharmagic, Aladdin's Carpets, new Star Tours
- 1900 Park Fare breakfast (for Kit and I)
Just Me...
- Staying in a suite
- Being the 'planner'

And this sounds awful but I'm a bit relieved to not be the only one having nightmares about their trip. Mom's had a few and I dreamed my grampa (who is ill) died and I had to figure out how to tell her during her birthday breakfast at 'Ohana. Thankfully it was just a dream but really had me shaken up this morning. Maybe I should take a break from planning for a bit. 37 more days!

We're on our teens!! Just 19 more days to go! party:

Posted from my iPhone using DISBoards

Firsts for me... Last trip was 25 years ago, so AK and HS and DTD are all new! Also really want to see Philharmagic! Hubby went 40 yrs ago to MK only, for only 8 hrs.

And we are doing 2 tours, Behind the Seeds and the steam train tour.

Took us this long to be in a position to be able to go! And this time I get to stay at Pop Century instead of a tent! For me, that's a deluxe hotel!! Only 15 days to go!

I'm SO excited. Heck, haven't got out of TX for years.

Katie

Touring plans just downgraded crowd levels for like the 1st to be 4th by a couple point a day.

On PP+, I see that it's cheaper if you prebuy, but do you have to? Can I buy PP+ there? Otherwise, why would it be cheaper to prebuy? I have more than 14 days before my WDW vacation but we leave in a week for our DCL cruise so I don't think I have time to get the voucher in the mail.

Must I pick up my PP+ card in the park or can I pick it up at my hotel? I read that Poly has a place for PP but is they for viewing/printing pictures only? I have a voucher and it must be turned in to get a PP card.

I'd hate to waste time at rope drop looking up get my PP+ card. I'd rather have it the night before.

Firsts for us this trip:
  • Staying at Port Orleans Riverside, Royal Room, Riverfront
  • Exploring the New Fantasyland and eating dinner at Be our Guest
  • Dinner at Garden Grill
  • Riding the latest revision of Kilimanjaro Safaris
Seeing YeeHa Bob's show at POR
  • DH's first time to DTD
  • Boat ride to and from DTD

Angebee, hopefully you are going during the second half of February. Kali River Rapids is closed for refurbishment through February 14.

lol I know what you mean... my biggest stress is getting sick. I have been obsessive about washing my hands and using hand sanitizer. I also just got the flu shot last week, hoping it wasn't too late. I am not too stressed by the weather because I will be happy if it's in the 60s, I just don't want to wear a winter coat!

Oh this is a fun question! :D Let's see...
- First time with my husband
- First time without my parents
- First time he's stayed on property
- First time he's been to Animal Kingdom
- First visit to Tanglerine Cafe
- First visit to Narccosse's
- First visit to Tokyo Dining for me
- First visit to Kouzzina
- First visit to Be Our Guest
- First visit to T-Rex Cafe
- First visit to Fulton's Crab House
- First time he's been to all the restaurants besides Tokyo Dining
- First visit to Spaceship Earth since refurb and new narration
- First time my husband has been on the thrill rides (the person he was with wouldn't go on them)
- First visit to new Fantasyland
- First visit to Star Tours since refurb
- First time using Dining Deluxe
- First time staying at Boardwalk Inn
- First time I am meeting up with someone while there (his grandmother)
- First time renting a boat at DTD (my dad would rent a boat at Caribbean Beach but I only got to drive once!)
- First visit to Splitsville

Ordered photo CD last night. The only thing we would have used the plus for was Toy Story, so if we really love the picture, I'll just buy it.
OMGosh 15 days!!!!! I am so excited!!! But the packing part is stressing me out. We always take our camper on vacation, but it would have cost us an extra 2 days in travel time to take it this time, so ASMo it is for us. But that means I can't pack at my leisure, I have to have everything ready to go the night before instead.
I don't want to start packing too soon and have everything wrinkled when we get there.

Oh and my 8 and 5 yo have never been, so everything will be a 1st for them. Can't wait I love to see the magic in their eyes when they see WDW

Just booked the Pirate League for my 6 yr old and 5 yr old. They are going to be soo excited to be turned into Pirates! :cool1:
