*** New Official February 2013 Thread ***

Hi All! :cool1:

We just planned a last min trip to Disney. We are staying offsite this trip - but we are just as excited!!!

We will be there from Sunday 2/24 to Saturday 3/2. Can't wait! :hyper:

Has anyone here ever rented a locker at Disney? We've been to Disney several times in January and know the routine.....jackets in the morning and short sleeves in the afternoon. We usually have a stroller that we use to store all our jackets and bags. There will be 10 of us this trip so if the weather is as it usually is, we won't have room under the stroller for everything. I'm thinking that maybe a locker would be good for storing our jackets once they are not needed.

Has anyone rented a locker at Disney? Was it worth it? Thanks!

We plan to do this also. The price a PP listed sounds right. I've only rented at Epcot before, and there it's a little more because you have a key deposit. You get that part of the money back when you turn the key back in.

Park hours are starting to change a bit folks, make sure to check your days! I'm going the 5th-9th and the 8th and 9th have evening hours extended from what I original had printed out. I don't see any updates on easyWDW yet though and the travel agent calendar does not reflect the changes either? :confused3

Thank you for the heads up!

Can I join the real life suck bandwagon?

First my laptop and now my laptop broke down. I'll have to buy a new desktop tomorrow and take the old desktop to the shop to try and save my stuff. :badpc

At least I had a copy of all my travel plans on Dropbox.

Posted from my iPhone using DISBoards

So who is checking out the Disney app to check out the wait times? (When the new app is working) I am so excited the wait times all seem low (except for TSM) Hope this trend holds for the 1st week of February :-)

Hi

Yes, we did on our last holiday on one of our days. Its very easy - and once you hire a locker you can transfer it from one park to another (all of them if you're up to the madness) over the day. We started at Animal Kingdom and transfered to the MK after dinner and it couldn't be easier - you just need to show your receipt to the attendent. Lockers were a decent size - not huge, but big enough to get your jackets / bags in.

Think it cost $6, certainly no more than $8. I wouldn't do it daily, but it was really handy for a long day where we didn't want to go back to the hotel.
Hope this helps :)

Can you add our dates please, my DH  and I are going 6th Feb - 2nd Mar and it will be our first trip to WDW without our DD & DS, we are staying off site in a villa :cloud9:

Last minute decision, so lots of planning to do now :surfweb:

You will be at the same resort and at the same time as we are. We will be there from 11th to the 16th :cool1:

Cool! Have you stayed there before? Trying to decide if I should do some sort of room request? We wanted to go the 9th but the rooms were sold out when we booked. Eek!

Yay! Finally nabbed an 'Ohanna reservation for dinner after checking relentlessly! Now.... to figure out whether or not to do 'Ohanna or the Luau. Opinions? The food at 'Ohanna is a no brainer over the Luau for me... it's really for the entertainment and the kids.

When does Disney process and mail your Tags?

If you're PIF at the 45 day marker they will print and get sent out about the 42 day marker.

You'll get them about 30 days before you arrive depending upon your location/mail time.

Can't speak from Luau experience. But we LOVE O'hana, and I had a friend recently try the Luau and never really have much to say good or bad, just kind of "ehh". For what it's worth.

Thanks for the info! I was wondering if there would be extended park hours for Super Bowl Sunday and with the majority of the hotels being full.

Starting to see changes for the following week, too. Longer evening hours and different EMH information showing up on the updated app.

We just went to the luau December 26. We had Cat 3 seating, which may be an influence on my response, but we were unimpressed. The beginning of the show was hokie. The only part we enjoyed was the traditional dancing at the end. If you are on DDP, I would use the other credit for a different TS. The food was just average. Hoop Dee Doo would be a much better choice if you want a dinner show IMHO.
