Great to hear such good things about 'Ohana! We'll be there for the first time on our arrival night. Hoping to catch wishes from the beach at the poly after. just hit the 20s on our countdown...woo hoo!!!

Last year we went to Ohana on our arrival night and it set a high bar. We loved it and loved peeking out the window to see Cinderella's castle. I have not watched Wishes from the beach, but maybe we will try while we are there, too. We are staying at Fort Wilderness and also have enjoyed watching the fireworks from the marina over the lagoon.

Well when the site WORKED I was able to do it through there when my reservation was attached to my account but now that it doesn't work I don't know I remember there being an icon I could click on and then tell it to call me, it rang my cell phone, I did it about 8 months ago, I believe there is a limit on the amount of calls you can get.

Thank you, we're not traveling until February 8th so I'm hoping by February 7the website is up and working and I'll figure it out then.

OK, I need to correct myself. I actually had to go back to my PTR and look at the character call post I made lol. The call I did was for the cruise, NOT the parks.

Now for the parks, the character call options last time I was on the website were you can get a call from Ariel, Beast, or Sebastian. I seem to recall someone telling me you can get one closer to the date, but I don't recall hearing specifically when.

I will try to find out and tell you if/when I find out.

EDIT: I found this http://disney.go.com/charactercalls/piccolinismiles/ that can have a character call you to say good morning, good night, encouragement, or congrats. Not trip specific but may be nice for the kids

Howdy!

The Disney World Tours line was finally answering phones today, after telling me the "system was undergoing enhancements" and to call back later all day yesterday.

Got our tours scheduled. Doing Behind the Seeds tour with hubby on 2/2 at 3 pm, and scheduled just hubby for Magic Behind the Steam Trains for 2/6 at MK. Might add myself later if funds allow, or just sleep a bit late that day and meet him at park later. Anybody else doing tours? When I checked the website for times for the steam train tour, it told me there were no available times on any of the days 2/2-2/7, but cast member said there were tours available, so if you want one, just call the wdw-tours number. Don't believe the website!

Even though I booked after the December 12 website changeover date, I had to manually enter my reservation number on the new site for my resort package reservation to show there. Since I did that, I can pull it up reliably. I got my first Mickey mail about 29 days before my departure date. My magical express tags will be later because I only booked my flight a couple days ago.

Hope that reassures you a bit!

Also, I don't know about anyone else but I have had NO luck linking my reservation to the new site since it went live. Disney IT told me they are aware of the problem and are working on it (this was about 5 days ago).

Thanks there was something about the call in my Mickey Mail today, just wondering what it was. I'll have to wait till the kids are in bed tonight to look it up on line. They keep peeking over my shoulder when I'm on the computer. The trip is a surprise, so I've been all "Agent P" over here making plans

Big thanks for the character call information! That is awesome. And I pulled up my reservation on the new site without any issues. Just wanted to throw that in as well. Character calls...I had no idea! Yay! Thanks for helping to make the magic more magical, disboard friends.

Hello All-
We are going to be staying in the cabins at Ft. Wilderness Feb. 3-6 and Art of Animation 7-10. We are so excited and cannot wait for all of our planned events. Regardless, I would love any hints from people who have been to Disney in Feb in the past. What kind of clothes do you pack? How thick of a jacket do you bring? We are in Cleveland, Ohio so needless to day, it is snowy and cold here now and should be when we leave too. We are driving so we have room. Thanks in advance-mj

We went in April. My son turned 4 this past July. My son does not like loud noises or dark areas at all... it scared him just being in the gift shop area. He really loves dinosaurs, so we thought he would enjoy it. But they didn't look like "friendly" dinosaurs. We ended up eating at the chicken place right by it instead. I would say it depends on your children and what they see as scary. We may try to go again on our next visit.
