I am not too distressed by the refurbishments. I will gladly let Disney fix up some stuff (especially water rides which I probably wouldn't ride in early Feb anyway) in exchange for the ability to ride my other favorite rides multiple times with little or no lines! I too look at the wait times... Today's two to three hour waits (70 min for haunted mansion) and park-full crowds while paying the highest prices for rooms and food? Not for me.

I will be very happy in early Feb instead. I will be very pleased to wait only 20 min or so for the big rides at park open, and just walk on my old favorites like POC and the Land.

My DD will be bummed that Mad Tea Party is closed... where did you see that? I haven't been able to find it anywhere.

I will happily try to co-ordinate! The only thing I am worried about is that the site was giving me a really hard time last night. I tried to book a ressie and cancel another. I never got a confirmation of the booking and I don't know if the cancellation went through. It's being awful right now.

So, we could wait a few days until it's working right or just try our best. Just let me know what you'd like to do. It's for 4:35 p.m. for four people on February 22nd.

I am around for another hour then going to my sisters for New Years but I will not get rid of it without speaking with you first.

No Mickey mail yet. Still waiting for that big paycheck for working overtime all Christmas week to get my plane tickets and Magical Express. Will watch abc news tonight to catch the Disney announcement. Looked at ride wait times today just to justify my Feb trip. 300 min right now for Test Track... I would so totally not wait in that line! For a four minute car ride? 20 min, sure. Just so I could make a purple car with flowers on it. (If that is possible). If I were in epcot I would be quietly drinking glowing margaritas near the Fountain of Nations... and admiring the pretty colors, if there was any room left there! But I can do that in Feb too.

I am READY for my long-awaited vacation. 25 yrs is way too long between visits. I will go more often in future.

I agree! I waited over 30 yrs before returning home. Now we're taking our second trip in just over a year!

You'll love Pop! That's where we stayed in January. =)

We just added a day at the front end of our trip. We had to move to ASMu, since Movies standard rooms were all sold out. Boo!! Oh we'll, at least I get one more Disney day!!

I am very excited about going to Disney in February (prices, weather, wait times, etc). Staying at AoA Cars Suite, so prices not so low. I knew this is also the time for refurbishments. However, they go on throughout the year too.

Planning for my DD4: NO Mad Tea Cups, Disney Jr. Live or Beauty and the Beast Live. That seems like A LOT. I was very excited about Starbucks coming and going to Main Streat Bakery. I DID NOT think when this was announced back in July (I think) that Starbucks would be coming to the Main Street Bakery & it would closed during my stay. I was looking forward to going to the Main Street Bakery.

I signed up with MouseSavers, Disney Parks Blog, Disney Food Blog, AllEars & The Mouse For Less back in January to receive email updates. You can find out about closures, refurbs, discounts, openings, etc through these sites. So I knew about all of these, or I should say I knew refurbishments would go on in February. At least I'm prepared and won't be like Clark Griswold in National Lampoon's Vacation.

I was looking forward to taking my 6yo DD to see Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage but they are closed too.

I think after jan 12th Beauty and the Beast Live will be back running!

Me too!! but im hoping my youngest brother house/dog sits and hes a major slob.
32 days!!! We can all officially say "next month"! exciting!

Not crazy at all. I loathe coming home to a mess. We did a cruise the day after Christmas once. We were so busy visiting and packing and running out for stuff etc that we literally just loaded the dishwasher and left. There were boxes everywhere, unfolded laundry sitting around, just pure chaos. Well didn't we get broken into on New Years Eve? I had to call the police the night we got back from the cruise and found all of our Christmas stuff missing.

I was embarrassed to have the police in the house

So every trip since I make sure the house is spotless before we go. In fact, we usually start a week before and make it our big semi annual deep clean and do everything (including the garage)!!

(ETA.. I only know now that we were broken into New Years Eve because 2 of my neighbours went out for the night and came home to find they had been robbed too. We didn't even know for a week afterward.)

I"m nervous about packing what I need. I haven't packed anything yet, just have a long list of things to do!

I have yet to figure out what kind of clothes to take; shorts, jeans, yoga pants...hot or cold, in between...

Is there a recommended packing list that you go by? I'm afraid to forget something important!

BTW: has anyone printed their own autograph books? I"m ready to print out my cards, but is there a template you use on Word or Excel that has the "bleed cut" markings? I need to mark where to cut exactly or they won't come out straight! I've printed on excel, but for some reason it changes the card size to 3.75 x 6.25...wont' fit in my photo album if I decide to go that route.
