*** New Official February 2013 Thread ***

so i got my magical express mail today!! it was exciting, but kind of anti-climactic because i thought there was going to be a bunch of awesome stuff in the envelope but then it was just luggage tags and a booklet that didn't even have my flight info in it, which i totally gave to disney like twice. is there more than one set of mail that comes? will i get something from the resort, or something else? i thought i was getting vouchers and luggage tags and all that jazz from booking a package through disney!?!?! did i just misunderstand all this mickey mail talk?

You should get your "Mickey Mail" shortly. The Magical Express tags always come first and separately. They should have come by Purolator? I am surprised they were working today. I believe Mickey Mail will come by regular post. We are a little bit closer than you so hopefully ours will get here this week. It is always a bit later for us in Canada.

ok yay, still something to look forward to (i mean besides the trip lol)!! my ME stuff came by UPS and it came a few days ago but i was out of town! holy cow i can't wait for the actual mickey mail!

Thanks for sharing! We have passed that on the way to Beaches n Cream! We always wondered how it was? Do you prefer lunch or dinner there?

They don't serve lunch. There is a dinner buffet and a character breakfast. Both are very good. :)

I am not sure. Ours had everything in one envelope, in the same mailing about 35 days out from our trip. It had the luggage tags Magical Express. The booklet (which has "some" of our flight info, but not all??). The voucers are part of the booklet...did you look at each page? And it also included our Red Mickey Mouse hard plastic luggage tags. I'm pretty sure I got everything I need. I see another poster said it comes in two seperate mailings but in my case that's not correct. I booked directly through WDW, maybe that makes a difference? :confused3

I asked DH yesterday if he plans to pack shorts for our trip and he looked at me like I was crazy. "OF COURSE, why wouldn't I?", he said:confused3. I said....well we've never been to Florida before and proceeded to tell him things that I've "seen" on Disboards. Potential for frost on the ground in the mornings... people wearing coats, hats & mittens.... people shivering waiting outside of venues in lines. And that the warmest it could possibly be is in the 70's. So jeans would not be too hot in my opinion.

He scoffed at me!! He had me check the current forecast for Orlando, and it was 79. Hmmm, this Feb trip will be the death of me! LOL. I am PRAAAYYYYING for warm weather.

Accuweather shows the temps there the next few weeks in the 70's. I hope that continues. I still think how "they" forecasted Florida being below normal. yikes. Im going to start packing today to see what I might need.

Weather channel predicts low 70s. I have heard it could be anywhere between 50-85, I mean you never really know. But it seems normal that it would be low 70s, which is fine by me! Just pack layers, that's we plan to do. That way you can always add or subtract depending on the day. You might be happy to hear though that February has the least amount of rain fall for the entire year :D

If it's in the 70's it will be like a warm summerday at home. So summer clothes it is. I just hope we won't run in to really cold weather (in the 40's) because then we don't have enough clothes for me with us. (I often sit in a wheelchair and when we was in London right before Christmas it was in the very low 40's and wind and I had'nt enough clothes with me. I was so cold)

I'm hoping we don't have to pack a lot of clothes with us. We only have 2 luggages with us. We are going on a 4 1\2 weeks trip so we will do a lot of laundry while we're on vacation.

I was having a similar discussion with DH yesterday. ;) I said that since the warmest it was most likely to get was about 78 degrees, I would mostly be wearing jeans. But I'll pack the shorts, too. One time we went to Disney in January and my DDIL had to run to Walmart to buy shorts because we had weather in the mid 80's. That was a nice trip. :)

I have a theory that since it has been relatively cold in Orlando the last week, it will be nice and warm by February. I like to think positive thoughts. :)

I am also hoping for weather in the 70's. I am bringing jeans and capris. We are driving, so we have more room to bring a lot of clothing options. I just hope it is not too cold.

45 day marker is a week from today - next Wednesday!!! I'll pay it off and then anxiously await my Mickey Mail!!! It's so crazy looking at my countdown. I remember dancing because we hit 99 and now it's almost 45!!!

Time is going to fly, thank goodness! We've got a bday on the 27th, a bday party on the 16, and then we leave on the 22 for the drive!!!

I'll throw a big WHOOP WHOOP out here, since I get dirty looks and 'you're stupids' from DH when I do it here :rotfl2:

I've seen it both ways, and I'm not sure what makes it one way and not the other. Might be because they are in Canada.

I'm getting nervous now. I always get a little nervous before any trip and almost don't want to go because there is so much we can't forget before leaving. I still haven't fixed our ESTA's or rented a car for the 3 1\2 weeks after WDW. And I'm debating with my friend if I should get an international drivers linces before we go or if it's unnecessary.

I should be starting or packing list. So we don't forget anything at home.

I received my magical express tags with the wdw package info all in one envelope.

Maybe it is because we are in Canada that we get it in two separate envelopes. I remember the first year when the Magical Express tags came and wondering why everyone gets all excited for their Mickey Mail. Although we are now 27 days out from arriving and we still have not received either yet. I am starting to get antsy - especially since both the web site and app are not working properly for me.

Just found this-ME luggage tags arrive 14 days out. You must book with original package or room reservation, but could add 14+ days out.

Is anyone else frustrated with the new My Disney Experience web site? Slow, unstable, and limiting. I'd like to get all reservations on one page, not just dining and rooms.

The good thing about international drivers licenses is they last for a year. I got one when I traveled to Sweden and it was super easy (at least for the US, not sure what your requirements are!). Are you renting a car directly after your trip? There are two car rental places in WDW and they are ran through National and Alamo. Are you over 25? If not they charge you extra :(
