A crowded park in February is still amazing uncrowded :thumbsup2 Avoiding EMH parks, crowd calenders, etc are great during those months when things are just packed busy or during special occasions... but on a normal week with no extras during the slow time you'll be fine wherever you go.

Just do the basics - utilize your FP, make ADRs, do the popular things first, and you'll be fine!

Now just wait and see if they change February hours to really get you hyperventilating! :lmao:

When they change the hours I will hyperventilate. Lol no, I knew that would be coming. Hopefully they will just be extended by an hour or something! I think all my ADRs will be ok even if they change the hours.

What do they normally change them to, does anyone know?!

I've had water shipped to our resort in the past, but am thinking of going a step farther and ordering our breakfast and snack foods (for in room), a case or two of water and maybe a case of gatorade or something. I am just not sure WHEN to place the order and if people generally go with Walmart or Amazon, or another website. When I did it before I used Staples, but I like the variety of Walmart. Anyone do this before??
Hi! You can try Garden Grocer for local deliveries. $12 fee under $200 and free over $200. The deliver to resort or resort room.

WHAT?! The hours may change at this point in the game? I guess it doesn't affect me too much as long as they would only extend hours and not shorten them.... That would stink.

I'm not sure when they'd change them - sometime in February IF they do. They changed January's... but they just extend them. I think it really only effects people when they've made ADRs for pre-opening and then all of the sudden a few weeks out they open the park an hour earlier!

I put in two dining reservations this morning. It recognized the reservation but they don't appear in My Plans. It said something about only the primary can a change reservation, but that is me! :confused3

Maybe I'll try again later.

My two reservations seem to have linked to the app successfully. But I put them in my calendar as well just to be safe. Has anybody done the Behind the Seeds tour? Am thinking of doing that on 2/2/13.

Disney is updating official website (per Disney Tech dept.). I was in the initial 25% Beta group for the new website. New site to support My Disney Experience App. Log-in is same for new website and App. New website to go with Disney Wi-Fi, RFID, new FP+, etc. New website is being updated daily. CM systems too. If you have access to the new site, it states the any reservations entered prior to 12/12/12 may not show and to go to the old reservations link. Also, packages not booked by Disney (i.e. AAA) are having trouble being linked to new system.

Here is the latest calendar for February. It is the one that travel agents use:

February TA Calendar

Because of our ADR's we won't be able to watch the Electric Light Parade at MK.

I've downloaded the app and it is fun to look at the wait times for the rides today. I can't imagine waiting three hours for Space Mountain. :( That is why I like to go in early February, low crowds, lots of walk on rides. ;)

I'm hoping the app works properly by the time we go in February. It will come in very handy if the site works properly.

What is the one thing you are most looking forward to?

If I have to choose just one, it's breakfast at Tusker House. How about you guys?
I am looking forward to 2/6. That's my DD 5th Birthday Celebration. Breakfast at Chef Mickey's, BBB, Lunch @ CRT with the "Her Royal Highness Package," rtn to resort for Princess In-Room Celebration and dinner @ 1900 Park Fare followed by Electrical Water Parade (weather permitting).

I am a little sad that Beauty & The Beast - Live & Disney Junior Live will be closed during our stay.

The things I am most looking forward too...
My first ride on the new Test Track:cool1: and all of the new Fantasy Land:cool1:. I've managed to avoid looking at any pictures or opening any threads about either in the last 3 or 4 months so it will all be new and exciting.

I am also very much looking forward to our Be Our Guest dinner on the 25th:cool1:

Which reminds me... way back in August my ADR window opened up for this trip while we were at Disney. I had to guess at my dates and made an ADR for the four of us for the 22nd (the Friday). We won't be there in time so I will need to cancel. Is anyone on this thread looking for a BOG reservation for that day? I will be cancelling tomorrow but I'll post here before I do if someone needs it just in case you are able to grab it.:)

DD bday being in Feb was a + for a Disney trip. Value season & low crowds. I've been checking out the App for the past few months to become familiar. However, it's had like 3 updates & info/details have been changing. I'm hoping it's all ready in Feb. If so, this will be AWESOME. Wait times on new FL opening day, Thanksgiving & Christmas were all over 3 hours it seemed. 34D and counting!

I am so frustrated with the Disney website:badpc:

I was just trying to make a dining reservation. It let me choose a time, I picked it. It then told me I had a reservation at that time, which I knew and I chose to cancel it. Then it sent me to a page that said I had been idle for awhile and to try again. So I don't have a confirmation number for the new reservation and I don't know if I have the old reservation.
And it won't list any of my reservations at all so thank goodness I have them in a word document:badpc:

Just needed to vent a little. That website has never worked properly for me but lately it's horrendous.

OMG. I just noticed that Disney Hollywood closes at 7pm during our stay. We have dinner reservations that are at 7:10. Does this mean we will be the only ones left in the park? Will buses be available?

Theme park buses run hours after closing time. You won't have a problem.

The only time you might have a problem like that is if you are trying to get back to your car after having dinner at a different theme park or resort, long after the theme park where you parked your car had closed.

I so would love that ADR! Can we try to coordinate?

I had a mild panic attack last night when i realized we have 5 weeks left and so much to do! So i started a list of things to do before vacation and there were only 4 things on the list. whew!!
What I'm looking forward to is not having to worry about driving in snow! another storm that isn't happening on my day off!!
Happy New Year everyone!
:jumping1:

Feeling really disappointed with the ride closures/refurbishments during our upcoming trip:( Splash mountain is my absolute favorite and now my daughter is tall enough to ride and it will be closed! Also, just got an email update this morning that kali river rapids will be down. This was at the top our must dos list. Anyone else bummed about certain attractions being closed? Is this the price we pay for traveling during the" off" season?? Has anyone ever contacted Disney to convey disappointment over these types of closures? Only 33 more days for us!!! No paperwork yet. Anyone else down to 33 days and no mickey mail??

YEPPY!!! Got my Mickey Mail today!! 31 days to go.. Does anyone know what the Quest Voucher is for?

I was looking forward to taking my 6yo DD to see Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage but they are closed too. :(

UGH!!! I didn't know about Kali and checked. That to will be closed while we are there. We don't have Splash, Kali OR the Tea Cups. Bummer!

I am also at 33 days and no paperwork, but I am honestly not expecting any until after the New Year. I'd be pleasantly surprised to get something when I get home today! (Er... is there mail delivery today? lol. I sure know I have to work today!)

This is just what happens during the off season, they need to refurb and fix rides sometimes and the off-season is the only time they can do it, when less people are at the parks. It's something I've always been aware of (and warned about) but decided it was worth it. The Splash Mountain is my favorite ride at MK so I am disappointed as well. But it's the price we pay!

Also closed... Blizzard Beach, Boardwalk Bakery, Main Street Bakery, Mad Tea Party, and California Grill.

I'm upset that Disney Junior will be closed. I was really looking forward to taking the grandchildren to that. They are the perfect age. :(

ETA: That is closed in January, so we won't miss it. :)

We haven't gotten our Mickey Mail with our luggage tags yet, either. We are 36 days out.
