I think that I am more excited about this trip than I've been for many of past trips, mostly because we are going to do so many things for the first time. It will be our first time at the Wilderness Lodge and I am super excited about it.

Here are the plans:

Wilderness Lodge - Feb 5th - 11th (we added a day to the trip)
me, husband, daughter, son-in-law, grandson-5, granddaughter-3, and my two sisters joining us for the last three days.

ADR's - all of them are for the first time except Cape May - so excited to try something new
2/5-dinner-Coral Reef
2/6-breakfast-Tusker House
2/6-Hoop Dee Doo - I have wanted to do this for 30 years - finally doing it because DD wants to do it :cheer2:
2/7 - dinner - Cape May - love this buffet, every trip must include it
2/8 - dinner - 1900 Park Fare-Cinderella for the granddaughter-delicious food for us
2/9 - dinner - not sure yet
2/10- still open???????????

This will be our first time doing the DDP, too. Buffets are easy with kids and they'll love the characters. And I want to get some value for the money. We usually eat mostly at quick service with a few table reservations, so this will be really nice.

For all of you that will be there on Monday, Feb 4, looks like you'll be there for the parade with the Super Bowl MVP! I tried to cancel the flight I had and rebook, but we can't:( Enjoy!

We will be at POP the same time and we have BOG on Tuesday also!
Our ADR is at 5:20, maybe we will run into each other!

My daughter and her family will be there that day. Do you know when the parade would be?

I'm not sure of the exact time of the parade, but it will be in the Magic Kingdom. My husband is trying not to act like he's excited about being able to see it. :rotfl:

Sweet! We have plans for Animal Kingdom the 4th but will park hope or this.

I'd love to see the parade but alas, I'll miss it by two days :(

Will the park be busy that day? We have plans for Epcot that day but even being from the UK DH wants to see it.

Could that be the theme for that week Superbowl?

We were at MK in 2010 on the Mon after Superbowl & saw Drew Brees (I think :) ) It was crowded-ish at the MK that day, but not horrible--& we figured that some folks went to the Superbowl in Miami that year & then to Disney the next day--not sure that will happen this year, with the game in New Orleans. We were at Epcot the morning & afternoon of the Superbowl (Sunday) and it wasn't crowded at all!

I'd love to know the theme for that week...a sports week would be kind of neat--it would be really cute if the characters wore sports gear or something!

Thank you being in the UK we have no idea where the game is DH is hoping to watch it some where.

I would like to experience something different in Disney.

We are booked for the week of Febr 24th. Are crowds going to be an issue as it is post President's day?

That's great! We just might, as you finish your meal, our ADR is at 6h55...I'll have my line green Mickey on my bag with my name " buzz638"

Glad the week of the 24th is predicted to be less crowded since that's when we'll be at WDW, too! Part of me hopes I can run into a fellow DISer to have someone to geek out with even for a minute but my dad typically disapproves of meeting 'internet people' (forever his little girl am I ). We plan on going our separate ways at some point anyway to do things not everyone wants to do.

Resort: AoA Cars Feb 24 - Mar 2nd

ADRs: 50's Prime Time dinner (Feb 25) for dad's bday
'Ohana breakfast after MK EMH (Feb 28th) for mom's bday (location's a surprise)
1900 Park Fare breakfast (Mar 1st) so my sis can meet the Mad Hatter (also a surprise)

I keep wanting to throw in CP, CR, BoG or LTT but just not sure. Having this many pre-planned places to eat is more than enough for us.

Would love to join this thread. First time family staying at Poly Feb 3-9. Have been planning this for months with good advice from DIS boards. My husband thinks I'm an addict because I read up each day. ADRs:

Feb 3- Kona Cafe and then Superbowl viewing at Tambu Lounge
Feb 4- MK day with CRT breakfast and LTT dinner
Feb 5- EP day Akershus breakfast and Biergarten dinner
Feb 6- AK day Ohana dinner
Feb 7- MK day Crystal Palace lunch and BoG dinner
Feb 8- DHS day Hollywood Vine Fantasmic I'd net show
Feb 9- Pirate Adventure at GF

Problem: Can't believe we didn't know Superbowl was our day out. Plan A is To keep ADRs for Hoop de Doo Revue and give up Superbowl entirely. Plan B is to give up Revue, quick meal at Kona before DD heads off to Neverland Club while DH and I watch game at Tambu. An 8am ADR at CRT the next day means I should leave at halftime.

Concern: we're early birds so booked schedule (no park hopper) at EMD. Now thinking we should have avoided those parks, but with 110 days out, all suitable ADR times for us are gone. Am I worrying too much?

Unless the Bears happen to make it to the SuperBowl. :thumbsup2

We will be at AK on Feb 6th, too. Although it is true that the parks with EMH are more crowded than they would be on a normal day, February is such a low crowd period in general that I wouldn't worry too much about it. We have ADR's at Tusker House at 9:10am and hope to get there close to rope drop to see a few things before we eat.

FUN! I'm coming in late, but we'll be at the Poly Feb 10-14, and then on the Dream from the 14-17! :dance3:

I'll join the ADR fun! All diuners

2/26 BoG
2/27 'Ohana
2/28 Rose and Crown
3/1 CRT

Will Feb be too cold to sit outside at R&C for Illuminations? Do they have heaters outside in FL? lol I might change that one. We also might change CRT to not use 2 TS credits.

Depends on where you're from. We're from up around the Great Lakes so for us the late February temperatures are just like today's Fall ones. A light jacket (as opposed to a winter one for snow) and maybe a pair of capris usually kept us warm enough for Illuminations when we traveled down in the past at the same time of year. We also didn't stand/sit so close to the lake, though, so maybe a pair of jeans instead? But I'd still think about the jacket.

Bear in mind, this is coming from someone who hasn't been down in four years so maybe someone has more recent/expert advice.
