*** New Official February 2013 Thread ***

I will be making my very first trip to WDW from Feb 5th-10th with my husband and 8 year old daughter. We are staying at Boarwalk Villas.

Hi guys, I'm new to the Dis board, if anyone has information on AOA that would help, please share. We will be in DW February 10-16, my husband and I will be giving the trip to our boys for a Christmas gift. Any ideas on how to surprise them would also be great. No BOG ADR for dinner available for our time either. Super Duper Excited!

We received a vacation gift once buy each getting a large envelope wit a few puzzle pieces. As a team we had to put it together to find it made a picture of our destination. We had no idea what it could be let alone a trip!!!

I haven't posted in here in awhile!
Dates are officially set.. February 22-March 4th.
We are staying at a Universal resort the first 3 nights (not sure what one) and then at Port Orleans Riverside for the rest.:cool1:

No dining plan this time which I am a little nervous about. I did have a free dining pin but I am pretty sure it will work out cheaper for us to use the 35% off the room code, and use Tables in Wonderland.
I also want to a little more flexibility this time than the DDP offers. For instance we'd prefer appetizers over dessert most of the time, ds is 8 and growing like crazy and would like to order adult meals sometimes, and dd is likely to eat an app as her meal some nights. So we'll see how it goes. I've budgeted 200 per day for food for the four of us and I truly think we will have money left over.

I can't wait to try BOG!!

It's getting closer February vacationers!! I'm glad I have Christmas to plan for in the meantime. It helps the countdown go a little faster:)

Slabau, how about some kind of scavenger hunt? They find puzzle pieces of Mickey to put together or the words "we're going to Disney".

We are surprising our girls for Christmas. We have a new suitcase for each of them that we are filling with Disney things - ears, maps, autographed pictures, shirts etc. We'll bring them out last but at the bottom we'll have a card in one that says 'we are' and in the other 'going to Disney.'

See you at Riverside! We'll be in the AB area (5 people) - give us a wave!

My vote is with this PP. A scavenger hunt can be fun at any age! My dad put me through one two Christmases ago where my favorite thief character 'stole' my gift and left a 'trail' around the house, ending with a gift toward my first trip to Disneyland being left in the medicine cabinet of all places. :upsidedow Whatever you decide, I hope they get a kick out of it and you all enjoy your vacation!

It's official!! We're all paid up and ready for February 1st to get here!! I hope time flies quickly. =)

Disney overload in effect! I've read all 55 pages, geez it's a lot of information. Love it!

Any fellow Louisianan's been to DW for Mardi Gras? How were the crowds?

Happy Planning!!!!!!!

Janell, I'd love to join the FB group but don't have enough post to private message you. Any other idea on how we can make this happen?

Thanks for starting this thread, it is awesome!

Hi aaarcher86, this sounds like a wonderful idea! i have my SIL picking up 2 "we're going to Disney World" shirts and a few little items she thinks would be appropriate for my DS10 and DS4 on her upcoming trip in a few days. A new suitcase would be perfect to put everything in, now why didn't I think of that. :silly

Thanks for your suggestions, you may have me out shopping today for those suitcases. :)

Happy Planning!!!!
