*** New Official February 2013 Thread ***

Hmm I think I need to stop reading here, I'm jealous that my trip is over lol. I'm grateful however, that all my pictures were restored from my damaged memory card, so now I can have fun putting together a photo book. Bon voyage to everyone who is leaving soon!

hahah, i just came on here to say i'm super jealous of everyone who is leaving soon! i am so sad my trip is over, but i keep thinking, "i had the best week of my life so be grateful melissa!!"

i look at my pictures every day .... multiple times lol

In anticipation of the trip, We've watched Aladdin, Tangled and Nemo this weekend. Watched Beauty and the Beast during last week and The first Pirates of the Caribbean movie.

I wish that Little Mermaid was out on DVD to find. We have never seen that movie, so dont know what to expect from the new ride at MK or the old attraction at DHS.

Plans for viewing this week include Star Wars and Lion King.

The 2003 version of Peter Pan is on tonight and ds8 and I are snuggled up and watching itpirate:

Those are all excellent choices. :thumbsup2 'Cars' is on the tv right now and I'll be putting on 'Toy Story 2' after for the Pixar night of our week long-movie marathon. ("PITSTOP!!!")

Expect catchy music, an entertaining show and a decent ride (if it's anything like the one out at California)! It's a cute film if you can find it at a rental store or on Netflix, but I don't think you need to see it to get the basic gist of the story while you're down there?

I am so happy for all of you who are going to be leaving for your vacations! We are all upset here that ours is over! :( We were thinking of going back in 2015 but after seeing the boys cry that they want to go back, I convinced the hubby to postpone our trip to Mexico next year so we can go to Disney again. The kids are little for only so long! So now I get to plan another trip back to the World! :cool1: Thinking the same time again next year. Anyone else?

Maybe us! We have some credit for plane tickets which expire in October. I may go back to the World or show my sister Disneyland for a weekend. Really want to go for MNSSHP, though....

We also watched The Princess and the Frog last weekend. I am surprising the kids with a Royal Room so I wanted to make sure they had some context for the theme of the room and resort. I had watched it with ds a few years ago but he's older now and liked it much better this time. I have been humming "Almost There" all week!:rotfl:

How awesome! I hope you all love the rooms. Cars is really getting us in the mood for staying at AoA. "Life is a Highway" has been in my head for a few days.

Oh we are big Cars fans in this house too!! It was the first movie ds ever saw at the Drive In. I hope you guys love the family suites!!
I really want to stay in one of the Lion King suites one day:)

Cars. AT a Drive-in?? Where's the jaw-dropping smiley? That would be awesome! WAY better than Harry Potter &the OoTP for a first time drive-in movie.
The Lion King ones definitely look interesting and I LOVE the pictures of the sunrise tiles in the shower! Not to mention who wouldn't want to wake up to Scar glaring down at them on their way to the parks? If 'Toy Story' can be considered the 'Mickey & gang cartoons' of Pixar, and Woody their Mickey, then 'Cars' is my favorite Pixar film with Doc Hudson and Guido as my favorite characters. I'm really hoping there's some Doc merchandise down there since all there is around here is Finn McMissile. :sad2:

.

Have you looked at your library? Ours has most disney movies (at least every one I've ever looked for) and it is NOT a big library at all.

DW and I are questioning the kids every morning, and they have yet to be wrong about how many days are left until Disney. I hope that all my planning pays off, and we have a very enjoyable vacation. Here is a list of our park plans for next week.

  1. 24th MK
  2. 25th EP
  3. 26th DHS
  4. 27th DTD
  5. 28th AK
  6. 1st Kids choice
  7. 2nd Depart for Tennessee :(

Well, DH and I returned from our business trip yesterday afternoon, and now, one week from today we will be in WDW!!! I'll be doing online check-in later today too.!

I've been frantically making lists this morning! I also checked the weather for next week and it's calling for a good chance of rain basically every day, not what I was hoping to see. We don't want to carry our backpack full of ponchos and rain gear. But we will if we have too! Hope everyone had a great weekend.

I plan on laying that song on the hour, every hour during our drive lmao

5 long days to go!! Fingers crossed, but they're talking about more snow on Saturday. Seems just minor right now, but have Plan B in motion to rent a car and drive down. Come hell or high water I will be there Saturday night!!

I think I'm getting annoying :rotfl2:

Me: *nudges DH* Hey. Put your glasses on. Look at this. Quick!
DH: *puts on glasses in a hurry* What?!
Me: *points to countdown on phone* 4 days! :cool1:

I got the eyeroll and the I DON'T CARE for that one! :thumbsup2

But seriously.... 4 days!!!

Yep I am on pins and needles about possible snow storms Friday. So far the forecast looks good here, but if it's anywhere in the flight path we know that could be a problem. There is so much inclement weather going on right now though that they aren't reporting much about Thurs/Fri yet.

Dh and I have kicked around a few ideas including driving which would be a last resort as it's 22 hours away and we'd lose our flight money most likely.
Next option would be to move our flight somewhere that we could get out of and drive there. The possibilities are endless with that one considering there is no where and when yet.

For now though we know one thing.. we're going to Disney no matter what. Now to wait and watch the weather until Friday evening:rolleyes:

Oh and I am officially declaring my plan to put down the laptop and go clean and PACK. I've been dragging my heels on that one. It gets done today. Promise:rotfl:

5 days!!! And my first of three days off before Disney. :cool1: Today's a movie marathon of films reminding us of Magic Kingdom, starting with 'Lady and the Tramp' right now for Main Street. We're just going to keep playing them all day while we go about working or packing. 'Mood music', y'know? My only trouble is I can't find our Davy Crocket for Fronteirland :confused3

I plan on laying (Life is a Highway) on the hour, every hour during our drive lmao

:rotfl: Are you making it a family sing-a-long? I'm going to use lyrics from it as my FB status right before the drive to the airport. My mom is paranoid about people knowing we're out of the house for so long so I have to keep it cryptic. Only my closest friends will know where we are and get updates after that.

Good luck!!

so close....work is not going fast at all.
This is our makeup Honeymoon thanks to Sandy in Oct
