It's been discussed quite a lot recently on the Universal forums, mixed views as apparently some of the locals who live near the parks are not that pleased.

That's like the people that live near Alton Towers complaining about the noise and conviniently forgetting about the jobs and revenue it brings into the area. Or those that buy houses near airports and then complain about the planes. If you don't like amusements parks or airports don't buy properties next to them!
Ive been reading about this fireworks show, it sounds quite exciting. I wonder if it will be able to top wishes for me which is my number one fireworks show. I will just have to wait till my August trip

Or maybe these complainers lived in that area before the theme park was built or Universal deceided to set fireworks off every night. Remember when fireworks were exclusively the preserve of Guy Fawkes Night, that was OK, but now from November 5th through until New Year you hear fireworks every night. I don't know about you, but it gets right on mine I'll tell you.
All the info we currently have is that the new show will be in peak seasons only. It will run for the summer season, and possibly Halloween and Thanksgiving, and almost certainly Christmas. But it looks like the off-peak months will not get the benefit of this big finale, sadly. We will know more when we re-visit Universal next week for a full up-date.
