New Nemo ride- TOTALLY LAME!

Looks like someone beat him to it:

In all seriousness, that is a shame about the Nemo ride. I'll still give it a try, though.

I don't think Nemo was meant to be a thrill ride!! It's just something pleasant and relaxing for the kiddies.

It's like with Stitch - I'd heard so many bad things about it, and I don't get why :confused3 Sure it's not the most thrilling thing on the planet, but it's not meant to be. The Stitch animatronic is very cute and well made, the whole thing is fairly sweet. I didn't dislike it.

I'm with you on that one. I don't HATE Stitch, but I don't LOVE it either. The thing about Stitch is at least it has a story line. Stitch gets loose and is now going to tear up the Magic Kingdom. I've only seen it once, but after seeing Stitch I really thought to myself - yeah, they did a pretty good job on telling a story here. To me that's what makes an attraction at WDW. And I haven't been on Nemo yet, but to me if there's anything its lacking, it seems like maybe its a good story. Nemo's lost again. Big deal.

Hopefully I'll be pleasantly suprised when I ride it here in a week - I'm going in with an open mind...

Oh, and Tenten, that's funny I was just talking the other day - if I was a Sushi Chef I would make my own roll called the "Finding Nemo Roll"... It looks like someone else already thought of that...

..good stuff.

Just got back and, while some of the ride was pretty nifty, it is a very low-key ride. The good thing: hardly any line.

Now, however, with the Toy Story ride at MGM and Monsters Inc. in Tomorrowland, we can hope the Pixar fairies have had their fun and we can move back to some of the more classic characters and possibly even a few ORIGINAL attractions. Woot woot!

My wife and I rode it several times during the free Passholders weekend and we really enjoyed it. I think that alot of people will enjoy it. At least they have finally done something with that area. :)

If Nemo were a "classic" Disney ride, you would be stating how wonderful it is and how it must never leave. Disney is a fmaily place for ALL age groups. They have to continue to develop rides for the little ones too!

i have to agree w/ newenglanddisney. were you expecting expedition everest?
were you expecting a thrill ride? plus your kids are 9 and 11 not 2-5. if you go to the disney world website and click on epcot it is listed under fun for little ones.
and if your saying a ride is the worst from 9 and 11 year olds when it is meant to be a fun for little ones attraction that is not saying much! of course they are going to think it's lame they're 9 and 11. now what do you mean it is a waist of money? the only money you spent was to get into the park not the ride. you could have chosen not to go on the ride!
p.s. i know people can have their own opinions. i am not saying yours is wrong.

i do not love stitch but i don't hate it! i just don't like it because it hurts my shoulders with those bar things. and the part where he burps that chili dog in your face makes me want to barf!bleh.but other than that it is very cute

What and where is the Toy Story ride at MGM?

I spit my coffee. This is a trip. I loved this ride and I thought it was a lot of fun!!!

At least it's a calm ride. I'm a little tired of the "thrill" ride genre. Old scaredy cats like me like them gentle rides a bit more. :rotfl:

were you expecting a thrill ride? .

Not the poster you were asking but I was disappointed in the ride and it was because of the lack of animatronics. I loved the "glow big teeth fish" scene and I wished that they had done more scenes like that instead of using the screens in the beginning. Overall it's cute and I'll probably enjoy it more the second time around but intially I was disappointed.

Here's a question, how many newer rides have had a lot of animatronics?

I haven't read everything here and I haven't seen Nemo yet (hopefully in April). But alot of people forget that there are alot of very small children going to WDW (2-4 year olds). With the major influx of thrill rides in all of the parks there is not a lot let for these little children. I remember DS's first trip to WDW when he was about 3. We went on the original Journey into your Imagination and the look of amazement on his face was simply the best.

The video of the ride was cool. I am looking forward to this ride. It's nice to have many different kinds of rides to choose from.

I was reading about the Monsters Inc and Toy story rides mentioned above. Does anyone know when they plan to be ready?

I really liked Nemo and went a few times each day during the ap preview days. Though when I went, there were no lines at all.

I love the Winnie the Pooh Ride so I wil probably love Nemo Too. They are just good old fashion Disney love  like puppy dogs in a window pooh:

We rode it last week and it was just ok. But my children are 8 and 9, a little old for the ride. I think it is really geared toward 3-6 year olds. It's just a short little ride with some things to see, nothing grand at all. I definitely think the Winnie the Pooh ride is much much better. They don't even compare.

But if you do have little ones or you do want to see it, do go at night. There was not a single person in line when we got on and when we got off either. We could have ridden it over and over if we had wanted to.

i could have rode it over and over agin if i wanted too and i rode it in the morning after i got off of test track last week. i was talking to a CM about it at the end of the day and how i didnt know that i was officially open and she said that a lof of people didnt know it was officially open yet and that's why the lines wre so minimal. She said to give it a couple weeks and lines will be insane. -or so she predicts-

i liked it, but once was enough for me. it was no everest- that's for sure!
