New Nemo ride- TOTALLY LAME!

In this video you are like walking in the dark for almost 3 minutes! Is the queue that long!
We were there on the 13th for the AP preview and the line was l - o - n - g. It was out the door and once we got inside it was worse. There are 3 rooms inside that are full of queue lines. Everytime we got through one room, we thought "Oh good, here's the ride" Wrong. It was just another room to wait in line in. It was ridiculous and the ride was :sad2: . When my granddaughter got off the ride, all she could say was "Is that all there is?". To me it was a total waste of time and one that we definately not be riding again.

I'm excited to try it out. Of course, I'm one of the very few that actually likes Stitch. ;)

I guess I wasn't expecting a miracle re-do since they're just using the old queue and track system AFAIK and added some effects to it.

Us too...in 20-something days...trying to not ponder the time until the trip.

Again; us too. While I agree that different things appeal to different people; it seems these days that peoples' expectations as a whole are way, way too high. The same people who say the ride is lame and just an easy recycle are the same ones that would complain if the area just sat dormant as well. What, exactly, do you want?

We rode it SO MANY TIMES. And when we went over and saw a line more than 5 min. we didnt go on. But thats what we do with all of Disney. Line too long? We'll come back later, or tomorrow.

The que is long. Probably because theyre expecting people to wait.

There will always be people who will go to Disney and look at everything as though they are critics, and then there are those of us who go to Disney to see everything as through the eyes of children. If you go to Disney with an open mind, then the experience will truly be magical and worth every penny.

Boy, that's insulting. You can go with an open mind and still dislike it. I did, and I thought it was lame as well.

... and there is nothing to look at in the queue, entertainment - wise.

Lots of passion and energy in this discussion. I'm all for allowing people to have open minds and to express their opinions here. I'm also okay if not everyone likes the new Nemo Ride. I haven't had a chance to visit yet so I haven't made up my own mind. Of course, not everyone will like it, but the poll posted says that most do. The same goes for Buzz. The flip side is also true with some rides being not liked by most but still liked by some.

everyone needs to remember that these rides are mainly created in mind for young kids and young kids at heart. if you want the high speed rush on every ride goto a six flags park or cedar point. WDW is for familys. they cant make everyone happy every day.

While the new Nemo ride does not match the thrill of an Everest, I thought that it was rather well done for the intended audience.

Now, I still enjoyed it even though I'm the furthest from the intended audience.

People ARE entitled to their opinion whether good or bad, remember it's just their opinion.

The queue CAN BE long (but it's completely air conditioned). I waited 20 minutes the first time thru and then later in the day, waited no longer than 5 minutes. The beginning of the queue is themed very nice, the middle, not as well (visually stimulating is lacking) and the end is just a little better than the middle. It's best to look up in the middle and end segments of the queue.

All in all, I liked it but could see why someone might not think much of it. It's best for you to make up your own mind.

P.S. I hate Stich but don't think less of anyone who likes it.

I thought it was kinda lame as well. I guess I basically felt like we were just sitting in the small clamshell watching a few clips from the movie, and then we got out. We were also a little shocked that the clam shells turned out to be as tight as they were. We barely fit.

The Nemo ride is cute and I'm glad we got to ride it last week. Won't be on our "must do every trip" list, since my youngest is about to turn nine. It's a great ride for families with young children---a great option for Epcot.

We were in Epcot on Oct. 14th. I saw a bunch of bushes, and some people going in behind the bushes, so I asked a cast member what was going on. She didn't really want to tell me it was the new Nemo ride, but she did. That night, only AP holders were allowed to ride, but she told me to check back on Monday because there may be a soft opening that day.

We went again on Monday, and were able to ride it. I was disappointed at the huge wait for this ride. While we were in cue for the ride, an announcement kept coming on, apologizing for the delay because they were having technical difficulties. A 20 minute wait turned into over 60 minutes. The ride was just "okay" in my opinion. A must-do for the younger kids, but my kids were kind of bored on it. The clam shells, though are adorable!

Looks like someone beat him to it:

In all seriousness, that is a shame about the Nemo ride. I'll still give it a try, though.

Cute, maybe. I thought they were a little cheap. I rapped on them a couple time, and it just seemed like there wasn't much to them. I know. Sounds silly, but it just seemed weak.

I have to admit I was not overly impressed by the Nemo ride either, but my kids (7,4 &3) all loved it. I think they, not me, are the target audience.

Our family really liked the ride, we thought the clamshells were cute. It did not seem like a recycled ride to us. If you look around you will see that it must of taken quite a bit of time to make all the coral decorations. There were long lines, but it is a continuesly loading line, so you never stop moving.

We loved the way the characters were projected in the real tanks. We will definetly do this one again!!

We loved it. As we were leaving the world yesterday, ds, 3, was having the biggest tantrum because he wanted to ride Nemo "just one more time". He's never even seen the movie, so I guess we'll have to watch it this week.

It doesn't sound much different then it was long ago. You got in cars similar to Spaceship Earth's and moved along a track through the aquarium. I missed that when they first took it out. It was nice to see the fish and such and to relax a bit during the car ride. From your description I don't think I will be let down. Looking forward to trying it in December.

You know my bet it the cars were put back in to control crowd flow again. With Turtle Talk being so popular the Living sees gets quite crowded now. I would think having people go on the clammobiles helps the crowd some. Just a thought.

Take Care

We enjoyed the ride and DS was enthralled the entire time. It did seem alot better than what was there before especially since we usually skipped over that the past few times we went.
