***NEW MyMagic & FastPass+ Official Information & FAQ Thread***

I am in the same situation! I have been able to link my voucher in MDX, but I'm also wondering about FP+. Hopefully someone can help us. Otherwise, it might be time for a little quickie weekend trip prior to our big summer trip so I can activate my AP ;)

Im thinking about purchasing annual pass. I'll get a voucher to redeem, is there a way to assign voucher to my MB so I can take advantage of FP+ ?:confused3

Yes, you can attach your AP to your MDE account and make FP+ reservations. We had no problems linking them straight into the account and could make FP+ reservations.

Even if you choose the will call option instead of getting the physical voucher card, you should get a willcall barcode number in the confirmation email that you can enter to register it (or scan the barcode with the app)

Yes,

I was able to connect my AP voucher to my MB... however, I had to call the IT folks to do it. Fastest way to get to who you need to is to call (407) 939-5277, say "My Disney Experience" when prompted to say why you are calling, and in the next menu push "2" for "I am on My Disney Experience and having trouble." - That gets you right to IT.

I have now had to do this 3 times (once for my AP, once for my husbands, which was ordered later, and once for my in-laws tickets which are Florida resident 3-day tickets). None of them worked linking online. You can try online first, by putting in your voucher #, but that didn't work for me. Each time took my about 20-30 minutes on the phone, but now I can make FP+ for everyone, which is what I wanted.

Good luck!

Thank you so much for this information! I was able to put in my voucher number, so my AP is showing up under 'my reservations' in the 'tickets and passes' section, but if I go to 'magic bands and cards' its only listing an old KTTW card for me from our trip last summer (however my DH's card isn't showing up?) Hopefully I'm good to go! I'd hate to get to our FP+ day only to find out it won't let me do it! At least now I have this info from you if that happens. Thanks again!!

I've read so much on Fastpass + to I'm blue in the face! I can't recall how it works with Wishes, Parades, and Fantasmic. Do those I've listed count toward your daily fastpass count of three a day? Just wondering since I get to select my fastpasses soon for my upcoming trip.

Yes. In general, a Fastpass+ is a Fastpass+ and counts towards your three. There have been occasional "bonus" FP+ (not heard if they are still happening).

The main exception is the "Fastpass for Be Our Guest lunch". That's been in testing for a while and has been completely independent - you can't select it like the rest, you have to go to a special web site, it doesn't work for everyone, etc. (unless things have recently changed)

Thank you for you reply. I think that is terrible!! :sad1::sad1::sad1::sad1::sad1:

I wish we could get our three FP plus select FP for parades, wishes, and Fantasmic.

How do you know if you get a bonus FP? Does it just magically appear in MDE on My Plan page?

There haven't been reports of bonus fastpasses for some time.

Anybody use Rider Swap with FastPass+? Do all have to have a FP for the ride? Or could 1 parent and child both have FP, then the other parent (waiting with too short child) get a rider swap pass (no FP) and go later?

The Rider Switch process process and requirements have not changed at all.

There is no official requirement that all riders have to have a FP/FP+ to use the FP/FP+ entrance for the first group. However, there are still occasional reports of CMs who do require it, although I haven't heard of any with FP+ being used - not sure how they'd check easily without scanning them in.

Does anyone know if the CMs need to do something with our magic bands on check-in so that they open the correct resort room? I'm thinking they may need to scan them or something :confused3

The reason I'm asking is that my oldest son won't arrive with me, but is flying down later that same day with my sister (so he doesn't miss another day of school). Our plan was to meet up at MK, but then he may stick around the park late and I was wondering how his magic band will get him back into the room if I'm already asleep when he gets back (running the 10K of the PHM the next morning). Maybe I should request a physical room key card for him?

No they don't scan them. He will need to tap it on the first day though to ensure it works for the rest of the trip. Don't ask me why but all the bands I tapped on day 1 worked to open the door. The ones I didn't tap, didn't work.

Thanks - that's good to know! Can I ask what you mean by "tapping" them?

Haven't read all 83 pages -- trying to figure out a FP plan for our one-day annual visit to MK on Tuesday. Is the best strategy to hit RD, run to the nearest kiosk and get FP for our family of four or should we go to rides first and hit a kiosk somewhere near a ride? So confused -- can't find a map of kiosks..

Plus, our FP priorities are different, cause one child isn't old enough for Space Mountain but the other is...yada yada. Our must-rides are BTMR, Splash, Space, POTC, Haunted Mansion.

Luckily we seem to be going on a day with fewer crowds. Fingers crossed.

Thanks for any guidance!

See the green link in my signature for my suggested FP priorities and a couple of strategies.

Splash is closed, so you can knock that off your list...
