Do any of the accessories limit the range of the magicbands, or affect whether they work in any way?
I don't get why they keep sticking to this line about "you have to be invited!" There is nothing on MDE about getting an invitation. The links on the site are active and functional, for the most part. If this magical invitation is so crucial why is there nothing about it on the site? Unless someone is tied into a message board like the DIS how are they ever even supposed to know about this magical invitation? If I end up having to call IT (thankfully so far I haven't had a need) and they give me the invitation speech I'm going to play dumb and ask "what invitation? There's nothing on the website about an invitation and the site said to customize my MB's ..." It annoys me that they are trying to blame their guests for all of these problems when they have had the ability to control access if they wanted. I don't believe the "invitation" is the issue and they should stop using it as an excuse. And is the CM saying that any FP+'s made before your "invitation" is issued aren't valid & won't stick? and if you receive an invitation you need to go back in and try to redo everything?! I find that hard to believe and if that's the case I'll be ticked (eg. if we get to the parks & our FP+s don't work or we lose them & don't get our times back). Why not block a user from using the system if their invitation hasn't been issued if this is the case? Haven't there been several people who say they never ended up receiving the invitation but they still used FP+?

I don't know what they are called, but the square ones that slip over the bands (the ones I've seen pictures of are square and sorta make the band look like a watch).. I have read that those could interfere with making contact to the Mickey polls you have to touch the MB's to in order to inter a park or check in to a FP+ return. But, I have no first hand knowledge ... yet!
Sorry I couldn't explain it better..![]()
The fabric "coverbands" don't interfere, nor do the pop-on accessories ("bandits").
They are called Sliders. And when the effective range is measured in millimeters, putting something on that basically forces it to be held at a distance doesn't help.

Even able to pull FP- for KTTW card for infant who doesn't even have park ticket. This was a surprise.
At HS today. Entered park with MB. Can use KTTW and UT paper tix to get Fast Passes. UT paper tix are linked to MDE. Also had quirky MDE issues with my FP+'s disappearing (but my DH and DD remained). IT fixed all my FP's the day before I got here. Just noticed last night that they missed a couple of my first day's FP's. Pop Concierge was able to fix those 2 no problem this morning. That's encouraging for those that have been told to check at the resort to get FP issues resolved.![]()
It happened to me this afternoon. I have 5 FP+ for MK on 11/7. I was just going to wait to see if it clears it's self up in a day or two. Lots of bugs to still work out of the systemI made some changes yesterday to our FP's for Oct. 24, and a few other days, and instead of changing the time, it kept my old time and added my new one. We decided to change from MK to AK on the 24th and I cancelled the MK ones, made AK ones, but now they all show up. 6 FP+'s! I called tech and she laughed cuz she couldn't fix it. Told me to wait a few days and see if it fixes itself in the system. Anyone else have this problem? I don't want to get there and suddenly be without any of our FPs.![]()
I was at Disney for one of the testing phases in August. Sometimes when I wanted to switch one of our fast pass times I had to play around with it a little. Maybe this will help you.
First change your mission space to a different time and then try to change it to see if the character spot will show up. You may have to try several different time slots and just take what you can get. Then after you get a time slot for character spot go in and adjust the time for it so it is close to the boys mission space time frame. I think when you try to change a FP it only looks at what is available during that exact time frame. Hope you can get it all worked out.

Thanks for the suggestion. For some reason, a few days after my 60 day window opened up, many more options appeared. So, I was then able to see the option for Epcot Character Spot and change mine from Mission Space to that one. So, if any of you are at your 60 day window making your selections, be aware that you may have more options a few days later!

Did you cancel dining reservations during those times? I was not offered FP+'s if I had a dining reservation during any specific time.
