OMG! That looks so awesome. I'm with you Dave - I'm so afraid that it will not be open when we get there. We will be there Memorial Day weekend and the first week of June. I think I'm going to make reservations for later in the summer also, just so we have a Plan B. I wonder what would be the earliest week that I could be sure the ride would be opened? This suspense and waiting is too much!

I didn't know they were building a Mummy ride in Hollywood. But hopefully they are right about "Spring 2004 at Universal Orlando" and it will be opening sooner rather than later.

This is what I think, but I'm no whiz, so I could be completely wrong:

I find that sometimes when things start playing before they are completely finished downloading, the sight and sound portions of the download aren't in sinc, but if I let it play through, then rewind it and play it again, it will be ok. Use the sliding knob at the bottom of the screen to slide it back and restart it and see if that works. I hope it does, but my computer advice comes with no guarantees.

I think Height Requirement is 48 inches, emphasis on the I think.

Saw it. The ride shots are great.
But they're making the mistake of calling it a thrill ride.
Why?
In the very beginning these words flash up on the screen.
Skin Crawling Horror
The announcer goes, "It will scare the daylights out of you."
Then goes on to call it a thrill ride.
At the end of the commerical, the director talking about the people on the ride goes, "we want to scare the heck out of them."

This is bad. People will actually be scared to ride if you market it that way. Just ask the suits at Alton Towers what happened with Air. It needs to be marketed as a "Fun Ride."

The commercial should talk about having fun while seeing the movie come to life. The director did good talking about getting adrenalin pumping, but then needs to talk about how much fun the ride is, not scaring the heck out of everyone.

Sure, go ahead and scare everyone, just don't market it that way, or scaredy cat people will skip the ride.

Robvia, if the attraction is really going to "scare the daylights"out of guests, UO is much better off making that pretty clear. Otherwise, you run the risk of angering unexpecting guests who really shouldn't be riding it in the first place.

You mention Air at Alton. Ask Guest Services at the Magic Kingdom how many angry guests they've dealt with concerning Alien Encounter.

However, if it isn't really all that scary. Then I agree, don't hype it that way. I, personally, hope it is very intense.
